Know for a fact I do not want to do litigation after one year. Want to try transactional work because I eventually would like to go in house. Firm reluctant to move me around right now because there’s a lot of work in litigation. I don’t want to wait around hoping they will put me in another practice area and jeopardizing my chances at an in-house position. Should I be looking for new jobs?
Bay Area/NYC ppl..has WFH changed your mind about where u live and potentially moving somewhere cheaper?
Has anyone’s work pace gone from overwhelming last year to constant anxiety attack in ‘21? My colleagues are running so ragged they routinely don’t show up to for meetings including client meetings and I get massacred by then. Taking a big toll on my health and don’t know how to get out.
Asking for personal finance help. I’m contributing about $7.5k/year to my 401k based on my budget/spending. About to get lump sum of cash (sold car, tax returns, stimulus). Was thinking of just putting a little aside in cash for rainy day and invest the rest in brokerage acct., but would it make more sense to max out my 401k for tax purposes and use the lump sum as spending $ until it runs out? Currently 27 yr old, 73k salary in NYC, no debt, $10k in EM fund, maxed out Roth IRA for 2021. TIA
Any US citizens here ever go overseas as a high school foreign exchange student? Curious to hear details from those that have personal experience rather than those I find online. Cost, locations, benefits other than travel experience, etc.
I’m being promoted to Manager this November but recent got offer from a fintech. In money term the manager base pay is 5k greater than the new role but i’m negotiating to match the offer with my Manager salary. Should I wait until promoted or move asap?
I dont want to continue working in external audit so trying to pivot to data analyst role/IA in the fintech before moving to full DA/DS position… but thinking the Manager promotion would help negotiate salary in the future.
VP at a smaller company at higher cash comp, or Director at larger company at lower cash comp but clearer equity valuation and path to IPO? Similar-ish roles.

Can I tailor my suit pants from a slim fit to a skinny fit? The legs are to baggy and would like to make them narrower without ruining the overall look. Advice?
I was joking around with my partner and I said “chivalry is dead because I killed it.”
Out of nowhere some old white CD says “no chivalry is dead because you can’t spell it.”
Great deal on a handsome Baume GMT.
How's is the Salesforce consultant interview at KPMG and what things to keep in mind. Thanks.
I am thinking about learning python just to add to my resume. Currently, I am a Technical Business Analyst but I want to add some coding languages to my resume too. What exact perks pertaining to a career, can I get from learning python? Should I learn another coding language instead?
