In the middle of a cool project that launches in the fall but because opportunities usually arise when your least expecting it I got hit up by a shop that is offering me a lot more money and a cd title. I like my team, wfh, wlb, etc. but was def going to look for a new job afterwards. Stay for the portfolio piece or go for the unknown?

Mamas how are y’all surviving going back to work after leave. I feel like I’m sinking over here. I’ve been back for a month and was put on a project with ridiculous hours. I’m literally on meetings while picking baby up from daycare, during feeding time, and after putting baby down to sleep. I have help, but my husband is working long hours as well and he actually commutes to the office everyday.

I have two competing deadlines for two partners. Both know, neither will budge. One project is a soft deadline but is being treated as hard. I have exhausted extensions. I thought I could get it all done— I cannot. I’m worried about the quality of work product for one. Do I apologize and acknowledge the poor quality? I put in over 65 billables this weeks+weekend, and cannot possibly make both perfect, and I have already extensively cried over this with my cat. Please help.
