When you’ve been hired for a job, did you get a call or email from the recruiter to notify you?

I've had both happen. It just depends on the person's communication style.

For me it's always been a call followed by an official email.

Call followed by an official email has been most common for me.

I hope that the recruiter would pick up the phone to share the good news but I suppose it’s possible to share the news via email if you’re hard to track down or if they’re just really busy or if it’s their way of getting things done. It could be a clever way to avoid having to negotiate with somebody. Don’t let it keep you from getting what you’re worth!

I have a field in excel that represents the GSID, that I want to concatenate to create a link. Example field GSID is 123-west and the link needs to be www.website/123_west.html for some reason using concatenate with left & right formulas to switch - to _ results in the field throwing an error. Anyone knows of a way to make this work?

Most of my freelance work over the past three years has been cannabis industry related. I was hired in the beginning of November in-house for a growing brand. (pun not intended) It feels like the wild west where anything goes and most people seem to be winging it.

So much potential to do great work, but nothing I would show or be proud of. I did better work as a consultant.

Anyone else working on the Brand side of the cannabis industry? Thoughts?

Advice on moving to client side?

After a few long interview processes, I've learned that prior CPG experience is highly valued when entering any CPG industry (even in low- to mid-level roles). Can someone with experience recruiting in the space help explain the importance of the experience? Alternatively, would love to be able to "spin" my resume to help fill in the gaps that this lack of experience leaves.
