Whenever a client has to send me something, I send a PDF Fedex Label. Or when a client emails me to contribute a few K to his IRA, a label was attached to the funding instructions. Is this too much?

I throw it in the file just so I have it personally but I dont' give it out to clients, not worth the time. If there's an issue they'll ask you for it, no need to go the extra mile.

It really depends. If client calls and is mailing a check I don't do that. They can afford a stamp. If I'm mailing paperwork to move an account or other forms, I include a self addressed stamped envelope so it's ready to get back ASAP. I will only use our FEDEX number for return stuff it's its really time sensitive.

I always send mail that I need returned with a stamped and addressed envelope. It's polite, and gives them one less reason to forget to return shit you need.

like

SN are you still a producer? For some reason I thought you said you only wanted to do OSJ stuff for ex jones guys. Maybe I'm imagining things but I thought you had a very small practice if any and were just doing compliance shit now. If I'm way off let me know I just thought you said that at some point and I never really read any of your posts relating to how you do business.

Paperwork always comes back to me faster if I take care of the postage.

We include return envelope with appropriate postage if we are sending paperwork, or if we know a client is going to be sending us something as a result of a meeting, but generally speaking do not send people labels.

Pros to Merrill: Bump in compensation, additional tools and services w banking, ability to take over assets.

So, bought a sideshow from Advisorslides. Looks nice. Gives a series of 6 steps to address the topic. Slides go through steps 1 to 4. Nothing for the others. Red flag. Still not slides for steps 5 and 6. They say it is so I can customize myself. There's no blank slides indicating that. Continued...
