[query] Is it a good idea to say a firm No due to medical reasons to a new night shift project I'm hired in?Accenture
I recently got a night shift project (2 days ago) that requires me to work from 10:30pm till 7:30am
I'm not comfortable with these timings and I'm thinking to ask my manager to put me on Bench (Due to medical reasons that involve mental health)
Is it a nice idea to say a firm No to a new project I'm hardlocked into, due to night shifts?

Hi, whenever you do negotiation never tell I need that much amount. Always speak in percentage. Like, i am expecting 30-40% hike on my current CTC. With this you justify your expectation more conveniently. You can say that 30% hike is market standard which every company offers. My expectation is 40%. With this I will be comfortable to join.
With this you will ensure that you will get 30% hike on your CTC on minimum side. Rest it depends on your negotiation skills that how much you can increase the figure.
Before going to interview you can confirm through consultant that what is the company's budget for this profile. This will also help to negotiate better
Look, i got 400% hike... But according to your suggestion i was able to get 40% that is bad
I ghosted a recruiter when they offered the reduced salary in the follow up call after agreeing to offer a better amount.
They seem to be so desperate that they anyway sent me the job offer with the reduced salary!
Sometimes it's good to be picky about the jobs we accept if our gut says so. But if my guts says to go with the job, I will compromise on the salary part to some extent. Just wondering If I could negotiate better than how I'm doing it now
Dear it depends industry to industry and also depends at which point of your career you are. If you are at initial stage of your career then may be it is possible. When you reach to level into your career then companies only offer 30-40-50-60% of hike.
Always do your own research...Look for salary details in glass door...Be prepared to get low balled ALWAYS
Tell them you are not gonna negotiate since you already having couple of interviews scheduled and might pass this offer.
If the HR really has the budget she/he will call you back otherwise keep hunting but don't settle for low salary.
