Whenever the partner sends the team a late Friday / early Saturday reminder to submit time sheets (weekly billing) & confirm when done, whole team replies all. Wtf? I reply, don't reply all. Cont.

There are some people in this world who think by replying all shows they’re attentive and just want to be noticed. Don’t be that person.

like

The worst is "submitted the time sheet but still working".

funny

People do this to show how well they follow instructions.

like

Why reply at all if it’s just a reminder?

like

Sometimes the partner specifies to confirm when done and I've had times when I've submitted and been followed up emailed when I didn't confirm, but I don't see the need to reply all on these emails.

Who needs the extra anxiety checking through out the day whether that email ping is work related, internal spam or just your team mates telling everyone they've submitted their time sheet!?!

I could use some advice on this situation. I’ve been working for a small family owned business in Toronto Canada for about 4months. I’ve noticed a lot of unprofessional behaviour since I’ve started (yelling at workers infront of customers) I’ve bounced around different positions so much that the owner blames 98% of stuff on me when something isn’t done, even if it’s not my responsibility anymore.A week ago I asked for an employment contract to get this straight but nothing yet. What do I do?

Is it weird if a non-Black person wears a “Black Lives Matter” shirt out and about? Like is it a negative reminder of racism that you don’t want to be confronted with while running errands, etc? Don’t want to make Black people feel uncomfortable. But, for me, if I saw a non-Asian person wearing a “Stop Asian Hate” shirt in public, I’d love it, but everyone is different, hence my poll.

People who work in banking, and especially in France, have you ever been badly treated by your colleagues with an attitude as if you’re not even worth a piece of sh** ?

I don’t know if it’s because people in the banks are like this or if it’s because french people are rude. But the way my colleagues behave (fortunately, just some of them, not all) would be considered extremely impolite and uneducated in Asia (where I’m from). Would love to hear some of your opinions about this!

Looking for feedback: I started a new role as an EA with my same company in Nov 2021 as result of a reorg and the new leader opting to bring their current admin with them. Things are slow and my legal department is humming along fine - we’ve addressed reasonable risk, have a good grip on where the business stands on most contracting issues, no real liabilities or litigation, and everyone is just mostly happy with legal from management to sales to product. As a result, I don’t need to bother the CEO much, which led the CEO to miss 1:1s, and then demote me to reporting to an SVP which massively impacts my credibility and cuts me off from leadership-level meetings

I’m fairly young (30) for a Sr Mgr at a major defense contractor, and I have a new employee who’s a navy reservist. I know he’s being respectful with the “sir”, but the formality is just so new.
