Teach your son how to use Google, it will serve him well.
D1 thanks. You sound like a born leader
You aren’t actually going to apply...for him are you?
That’s the only reason my husband ended up going to college. 🤣. Thanks mom.
Congratulate your son on the high score. Schools generally factor in SAT scores when determining merit aid. This year is a little different, though, because many schools are going test optional. Your son could check in with his school counselor to see if there are local scholarships available.
This is helpful thanks
Did they change the score back to out of 1600 again?

Then the kid would be on his way to KPMG...
Hate to break it to you but those scores won't get you many scholarships unless your kid wants to go to a crappy school.
My son got a nearly identical score as a sophomore. He also scored a 5 on 4 APs. All sorts of 3rd tier schools offering scholarships but nothing at top schools because nearly everyone applying has similar scores. Even good state schools like Mich or UCLA aren't throwing much money.
They apparently changed in back to 1600 scale again. So that's a good score.
Fastweb.com, there are millions of scholarships online. I went to a top school for free and so did my little sisters. Have him or you apply to scholarships like it’s your second job. Come up with a compelling story. Also contact the guidance counselor, sometimes he/she knows of local scholarships, which are easier to get.
Sc2 - any chance you’d be willing to point to which books you used?
Did he do well on his PSAT? National Merit will generally get you full-rides at more than a few state schools.
such bullshit how they told us“this test doesn’t matter, it’s just for practice”
but actually it’s like the most important test of your life, worth $80k+ if you get a good score

Score alone isn’t useful enough. GPA, Race, extracurriculars, background all extremely important if trying to look at scholarship potential at top ~20 schools with a score like that.
