@Analyst OP: 390 cause I couldn't finish the exam in time. Then 430 cause I couldn't finish. Then 530, same thing. Then 630 but aaalmost finished. Then exam date boom 730 answered every question. This was like over the course of 2-3 months

Buy the Manhattan GMAT books. That's all you need, really.
I second Moelis. Don't take the manhattan tests though... I got 680s on their practice tests but 770s on the official practice tests and the real thing
And do the two practice tests that the gmat providers offer online
Actually buy the official GMAT guide as well and use that as a repository of questions for practicing. So read the Manhattan stuff, then do hundreds of problems in the official guide. Got V49/Q45 with that method.
@Moelis what did you get when you first started prep?
👏🏻⛳️
@moelis do you think you would've been in the 700s the first time you took test if there wasn't timed
Second A1, manhattan tests are great for training hard problems but not for estimating your score, the GMAC exams are better for that. I was scoring around 650 on manhattan, but a 750 on the GMAC ones and got a 750
You always want practice exams to be harder than the real thing tho, so to me that was a good thing

Guys do you recommend taking gre instead? I heard its slightly easier than gmat. Also most business schools accept it now and logically gre doesn't impact their rankings like gmat. Do you think its a good alternative?
@OP I'd probably score in the mid 600s then, with absolutely unlimited time. Maybe 570-600 if working fast but not exam-fast in each question. I'm comfortable with math but had forgotten a lot of the tricks I had learned in HS when I decided to take the GMAT so that took a while to remember
