I’m up for early promotion, and I’m curious about the raise %. By getting promoted early I’ll be missing out on one year of 5-8% at my current position compared to most of my peers in the new one. Do early promo raises ever account for this or are they the usual annual + promotion %? If they don’t account for it I feel like it leaves me under compensated compared to my peers. Even with one less year of experience I would still be doing the same job and expect the same compensation.

Anyone have insight on an annual 5% equity bonus? Is this low, avg, high?

Is there anything about this as a part of total compensation that can be better/negotiated?

How much does resource management makes?

So for those that lived in NY and moved to LA, what are your thoughts? What do you like, don't like, what do you miss? Are the people really that different?

I love how connected & convenient NY is. It always feels lively (bar covid) & it's easy to find something to do but I always wanted to give LA a shot, even if it's for a year. Nice weather year round, film industry, the beach, more space all seem like pros. Doesn't really feel like a city though. I imagine the lifestyle change is a big one.

Anyone wear Avec Les Filles? Seems really cute and affordable but wondering about fit / quality. Also Gilt has a 40% off their website right now :)

I’ve elected max I can contribute to 401k through employer then switched jobs to a role that pays lot more. I continued to elect the maximum 401k contributions in the new job as well. Since they have no visibility to my previous contributions, the new company did not manage my contributions in a way that they don’t contribute more than maximum fed contribution limit of $19k max.
