We need more teachers down here in AZ! If you're in the area, or moving to the area, or even thinking about moving to the area (😅) feel free to check some of these out and apply. I would recommend going through the schools website, but there are multiple schools hiring! Cannot provide referrals, can provide recommendations for a good place to get a drink to celebrate your new job.

I lived in St Johns wood and now own a place in Marylebone High Street and love the area!!
Likewise here. Got a newborn and looking to buy. Currently live in SE Zone2, trying to scout another leafy area further out to afford a house with a garden.
Sure!
Btw a Manager salary of 100k in London is quite decent! Where do you work if I may ask?
EM is a McKinsey title and their EMs make £100k+ in London easily so that would be my guess.
Chiswick/Bedford Park (W4) without a doubt. Literally cannot best it zone 2, district line, overground and soon to be Picadilly line make getting to the city (or out) a breeze, 15 mins from Westfield and chiswick high road has everything so you never need to leave chiswick if you don’t want to.
More importantly though, it’s idyllic (especially Bedford Park area), come walk around one day there’s barely anywhere else in London like it, feels more like a country village in places.
Thank you!
Slightly related question: have any of you seen a change in London mortgaging requirements lately? Either in the total loan eligibility (5x HH income?) or interest rates offered?
I got a 5x mortgage earlier in the year. If you work for EY-P it’s a breeze.
Age? Kids or no kids? Do you want to be around nightlife?
Late 20s, no kids yet (but likely in the next 5 years), no need to be near nightlife.
Why do you want to be in London?
Then Chiswick is a perfect place to be. Was just going to say there are more exciting areas for your money (although less safe/scenic overall) good luck on the move!
Planning to rent or buy? Explore the St John's wood, Maida vale, Primrose Hill area. Alternatively, check out Notting Hill.
I second this opinion. We moved here recently and love this area! Will not leave it for anything else.

Croydon 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼
Croydon is over 400,000 people... some parts are nice, some not so much. Just go explore see what you feel
I think you need to give more details about what kind neighbourhood you want to live in before I can make a recommendation. London has lots of nice areas but of course tastes differ. Lived in maida vale when I first moved here, lovely but so inconvenient when it came to groceries, just to give an example. I personally live in South London an love how green it is here but I know lots of people who don't go south of the river for.... inexplicable reasons.
Here are some starters for 10: Islington (better connected than West); Kentish Town; Wandsworth; Balham; Clapham; Dulwich; Forest Hill; Greenwich; Blackheath; Stoke Newington; De Beauvoir Town; Wimbledon; Richmond/Kew....
Don’t know how willing you’re to move out of London but my friends went to Beaconsfield / Amersham areas which is 20 minutes to Marylebone. I am in Staines which is a pretty riverside town, very green and prices are far lesser than London if you want to buy (not rent). I am 35 minutes commute to Waterloo.
