Robert half salary guide.
How accurate is that? Because it does seem to overshoot actually salaries at every level that I know about.
I was paid $66.5k at a mid tier firm as a second year senior so it’s about right. However if you want to make more money you usually have to switch to another firm if you want to stay in your market or look for a remote job based out of a HCOL. I thought Glassdoor is fairly accurate for a general range.
@manager: not necessarily. I negotiated a HCOL salary, for a remote position from a VERY LCOL area.
It's crazy how much pay varies across the country. In California a second/third year senior would be pushing 85-90k
Income taxes plus cost of living. Housing in California is friggin ridiculous. Was paying about 2k for a one bedroom apartment. And that WAS NOT sf.....
Are you in tax or aidit
In consulting, I’ve heard audit is paid slightly less than tax. I’m in tax in a LCOL. I made $72k base as a S2.
Rising Star
Very low tbh
I used to live in Tampa and I made 65k as a brand new senior. This was 3 years ago.
Where I am at, cost of living is 15-20% higher than Tampa, while pay is 10-20% lower than Tampa. Go figure.
Our second year seniors make between $60K and $65K. Your pay may be a *little* low, but it certainly seems within the range of reasonable expectations for LCOL mid-tier.

Try LinkedIn salary insights? The ranges it gives are wildly large but the average figure it gives seems pretty accurate imo. At least for my job and market.
