Where are you commuting from? Do you go to the office infrequently enough that you can just take ubers?
Remember you don’t just have to park at the office (NOTHING free in midtown btw), but you also have to park at home. Unless you’re willing to move for street cleaning multiple times a week, that means paying for a garage near home. I seriously advise against having a car unless you’re willing to pay for two garages, that’s the only way I could see it being more convenient than the subway. Even then, subway is faster except for some kinda tough routes (e.g, between deep parts of two different, non-Manhattan boroughs, like bay ridge to flushing)

What a prima Donna lmao. Take the subway like the rest of us. People that make a million a year still take the subway

I saw a guy with a JPMorgan Palladium credit card in his phone wallet case thing on the subway. Palladium cards are only available to JPM customers with $10M AUM with JPM. So yeah, the subway is used by basically everyone because it’s the best way to get around the city, especially Manhattan.

You don’t park in midtown.
You will be disappointed and broke if you don’t use the subway in NYC

How do you feel about buses?

Most people in NYC have personal drivers

This has to be satire. Who told you Manhattan was drivable?

Don’t move to NYC if you aren’t willing to take the subway or some form of public transportation.
Where are you trying to commute to/from? Because the answer is the subway
You idiot
That’s so weird. The anti public transit sentiment in the US is so weird to the point of having people moving to a 8+ million population city and wanting to drive. I honestly can’t wait till the city implements that big toll for entering midtown.
Well, if you insist on driving, there are parking garages. Most will be full so be ready to drive at 2 mph to multiple of em.
I do hope the city continues improving biking infrastructure. Perhaps that can be an option soon.

NYC doesn’t want to attract people we got too many lol
We don’t.
Take the subway
Don’t. Where are you coming from?

Does your apartment in Stuytown come with parking? That’s a pretty rare amenity in NYC but it’s well situated being close to the FDR drive. If your office is in east midtown, at least maybe you can have a straight shot up, so your commute time could conceivably be shorter than the subway. But you’ll still need to pay for a garage near the office.
If your office is on the west side, prepare to learn about the joys of crosstown traffic. Biking would literally be faster, although you would also die when a car opens their door on you.
Your other option is to live in midtown and walk/uber
Monthly pass at most mid-town garages is going to run you $800-1000 +oversize vehicle fees (if you drive an oversized vehicle - aka, an SUV or crossover).

You can get something for $500-600. I currently spend $500.
HAHAHAa people don’t do that here….

If you need to park in midtown, find a garage in advance - and if you expect to come in frequently, look into monthly passes. It’ll cost and arm and a leg. But driving around midtown looking for on street parking is impossible.
Seriously though, if your office is in midtown you’re probably better off driving to a train and taking the train in.
Sell your car, put the proceeds toward some rent payments and really treat yourself to the best city on the planet. No car necessary.
So your commute is from Stuy Town to Midtown and you still want to drive?
Take the L to union square and transfer to the NQRW. That’s my best advice for your commute lol
Do not / cannot park in midtown
