BMW is not known for reliability.
For reliability get a honda/Toyota or Acura if you want more luxury. You can get solid deals on certieifed pre-owned though most dealers. BMW maintenance is a pretty penny. Hondas (esp accords) can go on forever with regular maintenance.
I also have really been liking kia, have an optima on year 6 now with no regrets
FB Marketplace has actually been a great source for used cars... even ones a few years old. I wouldn’t buy from Hertz... renters treat cars like crap and they’re usually base models.
We got a used Honda at Paragon. No complaints and we love the car.
Truecar is decent but like the others said, BMW is not reliable. Look at Toyota, Honda, Hyundai for used and reliable.
Ok, after much more research - I have honed in on Toyota RAV4, Mazda cx3, Honda CR-V, all Subaru crossovers/smaller SUVs (Crosstrek, forester, outback). Thank you everyone for steering me away from BMW, that would not have been a wise decision.
I’ll be checking fb marketplace first, thanks all!
I don’t wanna complicate your search, but I really like my Nissan Rogue..similar sizing to your picks
