Where have you found luck getting maternity clothes for work?

I’m a firm believer that a manager should develop a positive relationship with employees, but I don’t want that to be an invitation to disrespect my authority. How do you know where to draw the line to make this distinction clear?

Partners, how regularly do you gossip about associates and have you ever written off/avoid an associate?

Need some advice: I had my review last week, and created an action plan. And today my boss told me Im being taken off the teams without any prior notice. I’ve spoken to HR, and they are useless.

Any other junior associates feel ignored by partners? Seems like as soon as I begin talking on calls, they zone out and just start looking at their emails instead. If my comment is longer than 10 seconds long, they just start browsing their phone.

I’m in a fairly large practice group with a decently large pool of associates that are junior to me. I’m being asked to run several matters and to delegate as needed. Any delegation tips? (Dos/Don’ts; ideas on how to choose who to work with, how to help new matter team members get up to speed efficiently; ways to provide feedback when work isn’t up-to-snuff, etc.?) I’m easygoing enough, but I’m also struggling to find someone who consistently turns in what I’m looking for.

My ASM is lazy and is incapable of doing the easiest basic tasks with recruitment. She receives all my end of day updates, is cc’d on all emails, makes me fill out 5 repetitive excel/smart sheet, and joins all my meetings but she still wants to call having me 5x daily about updates. I’m always the one to go to if other recruiters fail to meet client deadlines and cleaning up recruiters mistakes. How do I even handle this to begin with?

Probably no right answer but a girl can ask. In my early to mid 40s and preggo. I'm walking and started prenatal yoga. So paranoid what its gonna do post birth to my gut. What can I do now to help alleviate some gut damage. I know the older we are we dont bounce back as nicely.

Had the craziest experience today at 1st ultrasound. Measured 6w5d (what I should be based on FET) but sonographer told me HR was 87 (low). I was hysterical (had a previous MMC after an initial low HR) and doctor came in and rescanned and said everything looked perfect and HR was 119 BPM! I am trying so hard to take comfort in the second scan but this is so stressful. Please send positive vibes my way 😭😭

To those of you resistant to family cars - I’m a sports car driving, fast car loving, low to the ground kind of mom-to-be. (e.g. no back seat, no back doors). Obvi I need to get a new car but what isn’t too large, makes sense for a 3 person family (no more kids coming), while not sacrificing my need for speed and desire for a smaller/low to the ground/well handling ride? So far considering an S4 /S5, 3 or 4 series. Back doors seems to be a requirement for getting in and out of a car seat huh!🙄

I've always wanted to work for a startup and the product is awesome. I have made it to the last round. I am also 7 months pregnant (visible) and the last interview will be in person at their headquarters.

Also, a more serious question. Was anyone here eating at a caloric deficit before they got pregnant? If so, at what point did you stop? My first appt isn’t for another a few weeks and I’m curious. I know weight gain isn’t crucial until 2nd trimester, but I’m curious about weight loss now. I know some people tend to be sick for a lot of their 1st trimstester and end up losing weight anyway. 🤔

Has anyone been diagnosed with a subchorionic hematoma/hemorrhage in their first trimester ? How did it go for you- did it go away, stay without impact, or lead to a miscarriage ? It’s basically a form of internal bleeding- I’m super high risk already (44 yo, IVF)- but it increases the likelihood of miscarriage even more. Thanks!

Hey everyone. I found out we are expecting our first child and I’m really nervous. I got into consulting one year ago and I’m up for promotion this year. With timing of our performance conversations I would have to inform I’m pregnant before outcomes - then shortly after the promotion effective date I would go on a leave for due date. I’ve worked really hard and I’m worried our wonderful news will throw chances with this :(- also if I don’t get promoted pretty sure it’s up or out. Any advice?
