Wouldn’t buy in Illinois. Period.

I would agree that it’s priced in, but if you’re buying in humboldt Park you believe demand will be such that continued rising prices will drive gentrification in a terrible neighborhood following the pattern that took place in the west loop. Hard to see the set of events that would make this become a reality in the next 15 years. Too much softness in the already developed neighborhoods.

I find myself agreeing with S& 1. The sales tax is already high enough and I don’t see how the city will continue to bring in revenue-especially after the closure we have had for the past few months.

That being said, I’ve heard good things about Pilsen and Humboldt Park.

I am 29 years old and make a lot of money. I feel very guilty when I see people on social media who can’t afford the same things I do. When family or friends ask me what I do I downplay what I do by saying “I’m just an accountant. it’s not all that great” when in reality I love what I do and I love the lifestyle I have. hopefully not a humblebrag because I’m assuming a lot of people here are at or near the same earning level and can relate.

Thoughts on best (preferably free) credit cards? Thinking of opening another. I've only ever had these:

- Uber (used to be 4% cash back on dining; they've since updated this to 5% uber cash. I never use uber so I let this card expire)
- SavorOne from Capital One (unlimited 3% cash back dining & entertainment; 2% groceries)

I mainly spend on dining, groceries, gas, and online purchases (amazon, target). Maybe travel when things calm down but not right now.

31 year old manager, base salary 184k, 12% in Roth 401k. Deloitte also matches 3%, and another 3% for pension, both of which are tax-deferred…So total savings are 18% (12% taxed and 6% deferred)

1. Currently exceeding IRS limits. What should be my next account to save in?
2. What should my diversification of Roth v traditional be? I expect my salary to continue rising once I hit SM and then PMD
3. Currently 100% in VOO, thinking of switching to target 2055 fund, good idea? If so, when?

ICICI wants the whole program cost in FD
MPower doesn't fit a specific student visa requirement (SDS)
I have good net worth in the US and willing to pledge them as collateral. But we're lost.

Who are people using for auto and homeowners insurance? Currently paying Erie $878 per year for 2016 BMW 428i in Arlington, no claims or tickets last few years. Just did an online quote with Progressive, and for identical coverages it was $200 less, BUT their homeowners was about $500 more so total cost worse. Geico comes in higher too.

I started a new job a month ago and I hate it! I hate the culture (there is no culture) the way that they communicate (no meetings everything in slack) and the way that they work (alone) It feels pretty much like I am freelancing and I thrive in collaborative environment. I have never felt this isolated in my whole life. It sucks.
Has anyone been in that situation? If I look for another job, should I remove that experience from my linked in? Or should I talk about that if I get interviews?
