Need Advice: I’m taking a 1 week vacation during the next month ans I just got invited to an all day training for 3 days starting the day after I return.

Am I crazy for asking my manager to go to the non mandatory training and leaving my SC to defend for themselves for almost 2 weeks?

Considering an exit opportunity to industry, however the PTO time available with public accounting is so much better than the two weeks granted with my potential industry role. Have others been able to successfully negotiate additional PTO right from the start upon changing to a new industry position?

So I got a job offer with minimal PTO and the hiring manager said it’s company policy they can’t do more. But then said he’s ok with me not putting it in the system so I can take more days. These seems like 🚩 but am I overthinking it?

Hi all: Received a Technical Recruiter offer from a retained search firm located in the US. Is this a good offer? I renegotiated once and this is the offer I received today.
Base: $50,000
Monthly Commission: 10% of client fee once placed ($25k avg client fee)
Retainer fee: 10% of 5% client fee paid up front
First 6mths: No commission on first $15k but paid 10% commission on difference. Ex: If the fee is $25k, will be paid 10% commission on only $10k ($25k - 15k = $10k)
PTO: Unlimited

Im so confused by maternity leave policies and Reed can’t answer any of my questions. So, I can take 4 weeks before delivery and 6 weeks after delivery through California disability leave in addition to 12 weeks parental leave. If I deliver early, does it mean I have more time off after delivery? How about I deliver late? Another question, my due date falls on Christmas time, can I stop my disability leave and use holiday time and continue with the disability leave?
