I will be joining Google in 2 weeks and want to keep my current Corp number. Does google reimburse for a personal cell or do I have to get a corporate phone ? Also is there a preferred provider in USA?
I’ve been at a startup for a month now. I’m pretty certain my co-manager has been purposely withholding information from me when I ask for clarity on a process or general company information. Other than that, I like my role and company so far. What’s the best way to approach a situation like this? Pretty certain it’s because of insecurity and wanting to look better but I really am not a fan of these antics and it makes me question how long I want to stay here.
7 YEO with 5 in consulting. Financial services industry, have masters degree. Currently an SA. I think I am underpaid. What would be the salary range for tier 1 cities for consulting and for industry?
Has anyone used cellphone damage protection benefits for amex plat? Any challenges and tips that I should know ? What are some of the docs that they require to get reimbursement
need advice. I have been working in an interim role as a portfolio manager. I was promised that the role would be mine. However, after doing the job for 2 months, I have been advised that we might not get the funding for the role and I might not get the raise and the title but my responsibilities will be the same. Its a political minefield. How should I back out elegantly that I need to be compensated fairly and competitively from this mess without burning any bridges
JFK - LAX - JFK: what’s the upgrade situation looking like with the new policy? Should I be burning an upgrade certificate on my redeye back on Thursday night?
Best advice for negotiating the salary you want — when you’re hoping for 10K or a 10-15% jump from your last salary? Interviewing at a smaller shop but they have lots of business. Thanks for the advice! First timer with negotiations.
What the what?! 6 hour delay in DFW, missed all client meetings. Guess I'm a real consultant now?
I’ve been in consulting just under a year. I came from a tech company and implement their technology. I hate delivery and it’s showing… I can’t find a role I enjoy. I’ve been on difficult projects which probably doesn’t help, but in general I’m finding I don’t enjoy the deep, in the weeds conversations that being in delivery requires. Should I try to move within my company, go back to tech, or join another consulting firm in a different capacity?
Any chance of Deloitte upping the fitness reimbursement to $1k to follow KPMG and now EY’s lead?
I used to be passionate about my firm’s people. Loved coaching junior folks and paying it forward with all the great mentoring I received early in my career. But my firm’s values and senior leadership priorities have incentivized a purely numbers vs people culture. It’s made the job so much less fun and personally fulfilling. Anyone also struggling with this and any advice?
How competitive is the mbb and tier 2 consulting industry. Any tips on how to best survive and succeed vs other smart peers?
Health question: Does anyone else suffer from nerve pain in their butt/hips from sitting all day? My research tells me it’s piriformis pain. It means my sit bones are irritating my butt muscle, which irritates my sciatic nerve. It can be excruciating and hurt even when I stand. I bought a fancy seat cushion for my office chair, and I have a standing desk. Nothing helps. The pain has been around for about a month. Anyone else?? What did you do?
First time potential lateral here. Is it par for the course to provide a list of matters during the interview process for conflicts? I am wondering if it would be acceptable to hold off on disclosing that information should an offer for a job arise.
