Kids brains aren't fully developed. No way should they be going through with a life altering decision. Common sense

M2 the clinical threshold for diagnosing when something becomes a disorder is if it disrupts one’s daily life, which many trans people attest to—but I don’t hear that from lesbians and gays. Pointing to the largest studies to paint a more accurate picture isn’t hateful, it’s reality. I agree with live and let live- but tell that to the people who want to disempower parents from making decisions for their children and forcibly expose primary school children to warped ways of thinking about their bodies.

Thanks god BCG is not on this list 🙏

BCG1 - Are you trans? If not, your opinion, specifically as an “LGBT” individual, is irrelevant.

Lol @ all the cis people in this thread saying people under the age of 18 shouldn’t start the transition. Please stay in your own lane.

People can have a firm understanding of their gender identity as soon as you understood your sexual orientation, and that can be at very, very young ages. So asking people to wait until 18, when you have no idea what you’re even talking about, is ridiculous

like

The fact the you’re using the term “chemically castrating a child” means you have ignored literally all of the evidence and facts presented in this thread and you refuse to expand the antiquated knowledge and worldview you have. Hormone blockers are NONPERMANENT. How many times do you have to read this before you get it.

Any transgenders have an opinion on this matter? It’ll be nice to see their perspective instead of everyone commenting

Anybody ever work one of these multi company statements. Is a PR firm behind this offering a signatory spot to clients?

Basically what I'm asking is how does a company put their name on this type of thing

like

Typically a PR rep for the campaign reaches out to the various company legal teams to see if they want to sign on. In this case it’s the HRC

Many companies still read your application manually, and these are like giants.

Had someone lateral into our firm as a fifth year (soon to be sixth). They were kind of a retool and went from small law to the firm I’m at. They are still learning a lot of basic stuff, and I think it’s weird that the firm hired someone at that level as a retool. They sometimes ask me for help with stuff, but I’m just getting annoyed at this point. Can I just say “no” since they’re about to be a mid/senior associate who should know all of this?

A couple questions for the turnaround consulting fishes:
1. Is FP&A experience valuable for restructuring/turnaround consulting? I’m a CPA with experience in Big 4 FDD and a short stint in IB. Total work experience is a little over 2 years. I recently joined a RE company as a Sr FA in FP&A where I expect that I’ll be mostly doing budgeting & forecasting work.
2. If my goal is turnaround consulting, what should I focus on right now to best position myself?

I appreciate any insights/guidance.

Has anyone joined and left CGI in a month? If anyone can share their experiences?

Some good news after almost 11 months of applying and interviews and lots of rejections finally got an offer! In NYC small firm, ex big law folks, no billable hours, niche practice area, appearance of forwarded thinking firm, remote till who knows when, emphasis on pro bono initiatives and building book of business. The catch salary. Was making around 140k at last firm with 1800 billable. Offer is 85k and revist to bump to around 100k in several months after review (plus discretionary bonus)
