Has anyone ever gone on disability at a law firm where you’re the only paralegal to the partner of the firm? I’m worried I’ll be replaced while I’m out or that I’ll be letting him down. I’m already behind on my workload so I can imagine how backed up and out of touch I will be when I come back. I don’t want to let him down. I’ve been with the firm 5 years and I’m really his right hand. But I am concerned about it.

My SO and I regretted getting a dog from the 2nd week we had him. Fast track 6 years, we care about him, but we’ve never been able to shake of this regret (we actually joke around about this till this very day). My biggest gripe is less the cost and the daily care than it is our dog dictating where we can rent. The regret isn’t a daily background feeling, but it comes up strong when apartment hunting. Unpopular opinion - we inherently rank and cater to certain minority groups over other. We fail to recognize the struggles from these other minority groups and focus on the issues being pushed on social media and in the news.

My coworker always looks me intensely in the eyes when he speaks. I guess he does it to everyone but I'm the only one that seems to react to it. I always come off so submissive and sheepish when he does it. I feel like he notices and does it more now.
