Facebook Marketplace (or local buy/sell groups) for furniture!! We live in a bougie area and the deals are awesome. Our baby is in a Restoration Hardware crib that cost us $75. Daycare is too expensive for all new things 😭
This! Anything that kids can grow out of makes for a massive bargain on Facebook marketplace. It's over run with cribs and toddler beds and baby bookshelves. Plus no shipping delays!

Recommend skipping toddler bed and moving directly to bigger size :)
This. They grow so fast then you need to figure it all it all over again

IKEA!
We had the same question. Then my son showed me how he knew how to jump out of his crib….buying the perfect furniture suddenly wasn’t important. We bought a trundle bed from Amazon …and picked whatever one Could be here in a day. It’s worked out great.
Ok. He was almost 4. So wasn’t a big surprise that it was time to move…he’s just a rule follower and I didn’t expect it!
IKEA for bedding, Pottery Barn kids for furniture (though you will likely have insane wait times—my toddler’s twin bed frame was delivered yesterday but I ordered it in March 2021😛). For mattress, we got a twin mattress from
Nectar but also looked at the Tuft & Needle brand from Amazon
Omg the wait time 😳😳..thanks for the recommendations!!

We’re moving and giving my 3.5yos crib/toddler bed to the baby in my belly so got him a full size bed frame from Pottery Barn Kids (Dawson is the style and due to arrive in May so like 3 months wait). We got a Bodie crate and barrel dresser at the crate & barrel outlet which I’m so happy about because it’s a fortune. And then I’ve been eyeing some Firetruck bedding from The Company Store. I agree with others that once they are a preschooler you can buy adult furniture and you might as well so they can grow with it.
IKEA is best for toddler stuff since you won’t use it for very long. Pottery barn kids for kids and teen furnitures.
I’ve heard Pottery Barn still has really bad wait times for furniture. I’ve gotten stuff from IKEA and custom wood stuff off Etsy. Pottery barn and crate and barrel kids for bedding, sheets. Mattress from Naturepedic
I’m a Goodwill girl, or OfferUp/neighborhood but nothing group. They’re gonna outgrow it in a year or few, so I refuse to buy new if I can help it. As long as it does the job, kiddo certainly doesn’t care.

Local Facebook groups. Around us people are often getting rid of furniture their kids have outgrown, frequently for free. I got a nice sturdy twin bunk set for my boys that would have cost 1000+.
How old is your toddler? If they’re old enough to transition to a twin or full (or whatever size they’ll have as they get older), I would suggest transitioning them now. My girls are 4 and 6 and I got matching full size beds and mattresses for each of their rooms at Ashley Furniture. They aren’t kid styles…they’re full size versions of adult styles so they have headboards, footboards, and rails. My oldest transitioned from her crib to the crib-full conversion and it was definitely less sturdy as the full size bed she has now. For blankets, I bought full size sheet and comforter sets from Target…those I did let my girls pick out since they can easily transition styles as they get older. I’m big on matching furniture, so bookshelves, dressers, etc. I usually get as a matching set with the beds. Just know furniture is taking *forever* to arrive! It took from April to November for my daughter’s bed to arrive.
Thanks! She's 4

I got an ikea queen size. Planning to update when he’s older and can choose designs for himself.
Oh. And we just moved my Dad into assisted living and the one dresser he’s now using/kept from our house is my baby furniture dresser. :)
Ikea or second hand furniture with new mattress, also check out wayfair.
All of the above + Target (sometimes better stuff online than in store)
