Any left big 4 or any non medium tier consulting firm to join north highland strategy consulting? If so, thoughts on the transition? Projects? Fit/culture?

Just got told i will (finally) make manager this year. Combination of moving from assurance post CPA + generally shit market in my particular industry group has meant that ive been stuck at senior for 3 years. Im torn between sticking to the big 4 sharade for 3-4 more years to make SM or if i should just move now to be a project manager in industry (better pay and work life balance). Looking to move out to industry long term. Need help deciding when. All views welcome

At Big 4, should you be more proactive and take on more responsibilities? Or only do the bare minimum (do what you’re told)?

My friend said he wished he would’ve pursued SWE. He’s a consultant at Big 4, 3YOE, and has a MPH in Healthcare Mgmt.. What kind of roles/work can he get if he decides to do a swe bootcamp but stay in healthcare? Would his salary increase significantly if he does that?

Why are salaries in public not rising quick enough to match the overall industry demand? I feel like every friend in public and posts on here have the same trend - short staffed and can’t find quality talent. Yet new hires are 65k and senior managers at 160k which given the degrees, licenses etc just seems pretty terrible. Garbage men in my local city make 90k and go home at 5?

How easy is it to lie about your job title when interviewing for jobs outside of big 4? For example, I’m a 2nd year associate, can I lie about being a senior?

Became a senior and got a 3.5% raise. All I can do is laugh..
