Whether it was $100,000 or $10+mm, what were your inflows from new clients in 2017 and how did you bring those assets in?

$8.5MM gross new AUM. 7MM net new AUM. DCA. Existing clients. Seminars targeting rollovers at a niche employer in my area. Proceeds of this AUM went probably (estimating) to 40% fee-based, 10% c-shares, 30% fixed annuities, 10% variable annuities, 10% indexed annuities. This excludes market appreciation, btw. Just flows.

$13M of new assets. Two lump sum distributions from current clients that retired and received payouts. Multiple personal connections, a couple client referrals and a couple COI referrals. All AUM fee, this was my first full year as RIA.

I started actually selling at Jones in the first week of September and I brought in about 1.5 million by year end. My main mode of prospecting has been keeping my fly open when I talk to old ladies and then they just seem to roll over all their assets to me. Lol all jokes aside it's been pretty much working my old COI from my old life in the banking world and door knocking residential and small business

Nice job man, you're on pace for a $6mm year if you keep that up. When I was in the wires they would have acted like that wasn't good enough but I can tell you with 100% certainty if you bring in $6mm each year you'll be fine. If anyone tells you otherwise don't listen to them. It'll take time but just keep chopping wood.

$19mm new $17mm net new. Guy says to me his returns weren't good enough. His buddies advisor got much better returns. I reminded him that we specifically chose a conservative portfolio based on his circumstances. He said his buddies Advisor basically promised him 18% which I doubt or the guy is crooked as they come. And I had 1 death and wife went elsewhere.

I’m currently a 5th year senior manager at EY - and the path to PP seems to be an uphill battle with very limited slots available in next few years- primarily because we hired many DAPs last year. With my desire to make partner, I’m considering to make the move to ACN- what level can I reasonably come in at? I know there are many factors but curious of everyone’s perspectives.

Had a phone interview with Avanade and haven’t heard back. The role was for digital sales. The recruiter told me I should hear from them about scheduling another interview within a day or two but I haven’t received anything. I have sent 2 emails to the recruiter and haven’t heard back. Should I assume I’ve been ghosted and move on? I don’t want to annoy them but it would be nice to know if I’ve been rejected or not.
