TFW when your SM announces to the team that your manager is leaving the project while the manager is out on PTO. -_-
Is it rude to suggest to a new analyst that she needs to look more professional, e.g. don’t show up with wet hair to client meetings (even if on Zoom)? FYI I’m also a female and just trying to look out for these new hires
Mamas, have you asked for a roll off or less responsibilities on your current project due to pregnancy symptoms like morning sickness? My client is so critical and demanding it’s caused me to have stress hives and panic attacks. I don’t think I can do my role well pregnant and don’t want the stress to cause the baby harm.
Anybody ever been so sick (e.g., food poisoning/stomach flew) you couldn't make your flight to you client?
Lots of us are skilled at delivery but most sales books seem to focus on the pitch and closing... What are your best resources for learning to develop and nurture strong, lasting client relationships?
What salary would I expect for a client delivery operations role level 8 with 17 years experience?
Can we use work phones abroad? I am taking a vacation but need to take a client call around the same time I land at destination. Can I just dial in to the call business as usual assuming It’s 1 hr?
Main reason for weekend work? Client demands, incompetent MDs, you don't work efficiently?
I'm working on an account that consists of 3 other agencies, each one has it's own project manager. One of the lead PMs developed the timelines for 2019 campaigns and all the rest of us are to (contd)

Im sad and lost maybe I am not in a service line for me as Im in IT AUDIT. I wish I was smart enough feel like Im gonna be put on PIP

Working til 11pm....not for the client but for my wife (her resume) who’s applying for a new job. Selfless I know. Never mind that she’ll double her salary and open up a path to get out of the grind.
Asked my coach who to talk to regarding asking D to match an offer and he told me not to even ask (for reference I would go to PPMD but just started new project and have no relationship). Who should I take this up with?
Any tips for how to make internal networking feel more natural? I know face time without a specific client need is important, but I can't find a way to make it feel authentic.
Starting to get more involved in the project sales process - any recommendations for books or resources to develop skills in this area?
HALP! I'm getting a promotion soon at a global agency (Head of Digital), CEO asked me to put a stucture for a huge teleco client to manage social & digital paid/owned... any recommendations?
Received an offer from McKinsey & Company and am super stoked to join, but I’m getting quite criticized in my personal life for the decision mostly because of the public image of the firm. I get where they’re coming from, but figured most of the consulting industry was like this, not just McKinsey, and strategy work is what really interests me. Any tips on how to deal with it?
Can I go out and grab a coffee with a colleague and catch up on work and expense it? If so, do I expense both or pay for our coffee individually?
Does anyone here work for Silicon Valley Bank? They recently acquired Boston Private. I’m a candidate for a job at Boston Private. Wondering if SVB is planning layoffs in the near term at BP? Also, does anyone know the anticipated benefits to be rolled out from SVB as the parent company? Specifically interested in health insurance providers. Thanks in advance for any information! Anybody have any long term plays they are setting up? I'm looking into building a decent sized TenX position to try to build passive income in the future if it gains broad adoption. Any other interesting long term plays out there?
Is networking still key as an experienced hire? Networking was really helpful when I was applying to consulting as a student, because of the clear recruitment cycle most firms followed. Now that I’m looking to switch to industry, I’m looking at specific roles / depts at specific companies. Companies often seem to want to fill these roles quickly so no time to network, and on networking calls people can’t help as much if you are targeting a specific dept. any thoughts?
I have an offer to join Commercial Assurance but I’m not sure what career path that could lead me to if I was to leave Big 4 - thoughts?
Unsure where to go post MBA graduation with offers to PwC (DDV), KPMG (Strategy), and ACN (Finance & Risk). Where would you go and why?
I have heard of at least one International tax staff being offered $120k to start at Big 4 (Boston). Is he lying, or have starting salaries become this inflated?
Amazon product manager ML interview coming. Any suggestions on ML/AI tech questions for loop interviews ?
What is the general opinion on increasing salary: is it easier to do from within or jumping to another firm?
My friend just had a baby. I want to send her something useful / something she needs. I know the first few weeks are tough. Any recommendations?
Worst interview experience ever?
I really just want a 9-6 job. What’s stopping is my stupid af ego and the “promise” of better exit opportunities that comes with 1 more year.
Anyone here at Bridgespan/know someone at Bridgespan? I’m applying and need some advice on their interview process
Taking a class from a Harvard extension school does not justify writing Harvard in your LinkedIn bio and misleading ppl who only read the top of your bio 👎
Hi Everyone I am currently working in a fintech company since 2 months but due to toxic work culture I'm planning to shift ,I have 2 years account management experience and I was wondering if any of you guys could help me get a CSM Or Account Management profile.? In any SAAS or other companies. Help would be appreciated as it's getting really difficult day by day to stay in this company.
It seems like a lot of people, at least on FB, jump from big 4 to big 4. Is the grass really greener? Doesn't seem that common within MBB.
I'm new to the industry and this is my first corporate job. Been working as a BI analyst for about 2.5 years and I roughly make $80k. I'm having a hard time trying to gauge how much should I be making, or if I speak to my manager about increasing compensation how much to ask for so I won't sound absurd. Do you all have any tips on this or are there any tools that I can use to accurately gauge how on average much I should be earning?
