Easy one: the unemployment agency.
Unlimited PTO is not a good thing! It just means no pay out if you leave, and you rarely can take it because the companies that offer it usually understaff.
Stop saying unlimited PTO is a bad thing. Vacation policy in the US in general is depressing. My entire family lives abroad and I can barely see them because I only have a two weeks a year off. Any company that tries to give more days to its employees is doing a good service
Right now? Droga
... too soon?
😒
Unlimited PTO baby. It’s on you if you use it or not
I work for Publicis and do not have this lol. That’s amazing!
Unlimited PTO over here 😎
Unlimited PTO. 7 summer Fridays off. Closed Xmas to New Year. Paid volunteer days. All on top of vacation days (I have 15).
Grey used to offer a ton of PTO days and the office was closed for like 50 holidays. On the flip side you’d have to work at Grey in 2019 to get those benefits.
Not omnicom agencies
FCB Health = unlimited.
Working at an IPG company and don’t have unlimited sick or PTO days, not sure about the statement above
Publicis has by far the most generous: 15 days plus 9 flex, UNLIMITED sick leave, all public hols doubled. It’s open bet Xmas and New Year on a discretionary basis, but the forgoing makes up for it.
Unlimited PTO is a con - you end up begging for ANY time off - you can underuse through heavy workloads and they owe you nothing.
That person who took off 6 weeks is probably in an expendable or well staffed situation. Or is the CEO.
If they’re not at least offering Xmas-New Years off, plus >2wks vacation, plus WFH, plus summer Fridays, plus paid Volunteer/Purpose days, they’re doing it wrong.
Starcom for sure for the media side
Call me crazy, but evaluating an employer by the amount of time you don’t have to be there doesn’t seem like the best way to objectively measure ideal fit
Because all jobs are the same - at least in pharma
It’s not the allocated time off the agency offers, it’s the agency’s culture of enabling & encouraging you to take time off you need to be looking at.
IPG has unlimited sick and PTO and very flexible work from home options
Not for its subsidiaries. One had just 15 days off with NO sick leave, and only 4 flex days valid for summer only.
Most time off? Whatever agency is laying you off. Plenty of time off when you get the boot!
