Hi. Recently have got an offer from CGI. I have heard a lot of good things about this organisation. I am dropping my joining to one of the Big 4 to join here. Is it worth it? Please comment folks.

I have a bachelor degree (5 year path designed with 150 credits for CPA). I already passed CPA. But now I’m debating if it’s worth it to get a master degree or MBA if I eventually leave big 4 because everyone around me have master’s degree. Is it something I should consider doing in my situation?

Looking for all honest thoughts on leaving L&E big 4 for “big law.” In my market I’m looking at a 70-90k increase on base salary and it seems too much to pass up at least for a few years.

Hi all, how far back does background check go for McK EH @ Associate level? I want to start making calls to track down my supervisor from a company which no longer exists if the check goes really far back. Also, I currently work for a F10 company, so considering its size, is it possible that the BG check can be done without my employer being notified (or they call some general HR hotline so my supervisor won’t know I’m leaving)? What does life look like for someone to hit 2300+ billable hours?

I’m a first year attorney at a small plaintiff’s firm. My firm has guaranteed me a $10k bonus at the end of 1 year without regard for my billable hours. They’ve also stated if I hit 2300 billable hours in my first year, they’ll add an additional $15k.

If my math checks out, that means I need to be billing ~45 hrs per week. But with only like 60% of my assignments being billable—how do I hit 2300+ and not die?

I work as a floor hand on a oil and gas drilling vessel (rig) I get 47.7 USD(INR 3700 approx.) /day and that's only when I m working onboard the rig,no pay for the time off at home. No extra pay for extra days/hours worked. Please help me find something that can help me and my family. Thanks.
