Average profits are around $850k per year for all the B4 but part of that is driven by group, location and years in the partnership. First year partner makes around $380K again for all the B4.
After that I can only really speak to my experience at EY.
I am 16 years into the partnership and make $1.3M. Admittedly I have performed well and have been told $1.75M would not be out of the question in the years before I retire. So another $450K in raises over the next 10 years. However at EY, we try and get partners to $1.1M for at least 3 years before they retire as it allows them to max out in the pension.
As I have said before. It is not an easy job but you do learn to manage the stress better as you grow in the job. It is lucrative. I also have a lot of flexibility too.
this is extremely insightful. Thank you!
Prob Deloitte
They are all pretty comparable. Average profits per partner of all the B4 is within $50K of one another and changes annually.
It really does vary however by location and service line as far as what partners make.
What does differ, but I honestly don’t know by how much and the specifics are in our retirement ages and our pensions. This is not information that is shared publicly unless on sites like FB. Partners who have moved firms would know the differences, but it is not information I personally know
They all do
looking at the staff salary which is lowest at PwC, I believe partner's salary would be maximum here
Deloitte has higher rates (go check GSA schedules). Unless you think they have a higher cost structure or lower leverage ratio, it’s probably them
So what exactly do partners in each of the big 4 pays? Are they dependent on practice?
Does it differ based on practice? For example does the typical PWC Strategy& partner makes more / less than a Deloitte Strategy partner?
