What happens if I decide to take a full scope or be willing but after I join the company or project I get cold feet and decide not to? Do I just get let go or have dire consequences? I am being pushed by recruiter to get a FS but I am not sure. The backlog is huge though so maybe I throw the dice and learn a lot then leave before I need to if at that point I am not 100% in it?

Thanks

All my six-figure salary consultant friends are ranting about how poor they feel right now because their IRAs/portfolios are down. Think the people in this industry need to take time to volunteer or engage with some tougher parts of town and understand that by virtue of even having investment accounts, that they’re more financially safe than at least 50% of America. Sad to see

Hi ladies! An old chestnut but would still love to hear your advice: i am fairly certain a key senior stakeholder is being difficult because he perceives me as a senior non white woman trying to boss him around. I have heard that he doesn’t like to surround himself with people cleverer than him in fear of them taking over his job, which to me further confirms this is a possibility. What can/should I do? TIA!

I just received an offer on a job I would really like to accept. The salary offer is about 25% higher than my current salary, which I am happy about, but is also the low $ on the range I had expressed to the recruiter and the exact $ that I put on the online application (I had to put a $ figure). Am I being greedy trying to negotiate for a bit higher? Do they expect me to counter? I have been burned by NOT negotiating in the past but who can be mad at a 25% increase??

Is it easy to get into either of MBB in another country, let’s say Russia or UAE, with a degree from a US non-target yet good school? I would assume a US degree will be much more coveted than any local degree. I can work in either countries as well as US, and I would love to leverage that to get ‘MBB’ on my resume if that can be pulled off lol I’m not sure if the quality of experience will be the same.

NYC Freelancers! My Medicaid is ending soon and I need to start making health insurance decisions (lame). My current agency is offering me FT and I’m pretty terrified as I feel like I’m going to sell away my freedom. Their health insurance is pretty good and allows me to put my partner on it. I’m trying to also rationalize paying for my own in NYC but it’s so expensive ($500+/mo). I go to the doctor fairly often. Single NYC freelancers (no kids), what do you pay monthly or yearly? Worth it?
