Which car insurance do people use in the city? Feel that GEICO is quite expensive, and would like to shop around…

no longer have a car but used State Farm when I did and was very happy with them.

Cut rate car insurance doesn’t prepare you for mayhem.

State Farm raised my auto rate 49%, no claims, no tickets, no changes to my driving record. I’d stay away from them

Whatever’s cheapest. You need to shop around and find the best rate for you. There are so many factors that go into insurance pricing that it’s never a one size fits all answer. .

Just shop around and get quotes from everyone. All the companies are chasing a slightly different demographic. For $50/month GEICO gives me 300k coverage, collision, comprehensive, uninsured/underinsured, roadside assistance, rental coverage, and $10k medical. Before that I had pretty much the same deal from Progressive before they hiked my rates.

Using GEICO currently as they offered the best rate and switched from State Farm. Only issue i see with geico is the claims process where they do an in person survey to approve an estimate. And also push for use of aftermarket parts during repairs. But so far so good. Gave good discounts on renewal with use of their mobile app

How do you mentally deal with the stress of this work and these (demanding Wall Street) clients? I’m a senior m&a associate leading multiple deals and every client wants a quick turn around and response times around the clock which is impossible to keep up for each one. I feel like im not giving the best service even though I’m working late nights and weekends. I’m close to promotion but wondering if I’m not cut out for this (seeing some health affects) or if all I need is a mindset change.

Are there any Partner firms that will not be requiring vaccination for employment? Family has history of genetic heart disease issues and several family members are experiencing adverse health complications following vaccination. Deloitte implemented mandatory vaccination requirement for return to office with no health exemption mention. Not here to debate the merits of the vaccine, solely interested in whether this is expected to be a de-facto Partner firm requirement across the board soon.

Want to move to the US - I have 4YOE, worked in a healthcare focused boutique and a T2 in London, UK. Exit opportunity suggestions for a tax manager? I currently earn $100K, but specialize in small to medium sized businesses in a smaller metro area. With zero experience in audit/internal control/GAAP/SEC/SOX/finance, I don’t see how I could possibly land a six figure position in industry (even remote positions from metros that pay more). With my health off the rails after nearly a decade in public accounting, I’m honestly starting to look even at positions in the $70s. Suggestions welcome.

New young professional seeking some insight on medical insurance. I went with a high deductible plan and recently did a few things. One of those things was seeing a new dermatologist to check a spot for melanoma. I was charged $250 for the biopsy and $250 for a new patient fee. Insurance covered half of both those costs. Is this normal on a high deductible plan? Will my bill always be this expensive? Any advice? Worried about seeking medical attention for other health issues with all these cosrs

I’ve been having a hard time during the pandemic WFH. I’ve been diagnosed with major depression & anxiety. I don’t interact much with others for work and have been able to keep this to myself. We have yr end reviews coming up. I know it will be a bad one for me. I’ve invested in 2x/week therapy (at a financial loss) to improve my health. I’m feeling better. Is there anything that a staff could do/say at reviews that would cause you to give them a 2nd chance? I love it here and want to improve.

Ad agency designer desperately looking for an out but I have a possible new job opportunity. Here is my dilemma: Pros.... more money, no crazy client demands, pitches or decks or even prospective clients that will go nowhere (in-house), better benefits Cons.... this is a big one - it’s healthcare I’ve been at agencies with a range of clients for the past few years. Career suicide taking an in-house healthcare job? Especially if role focuses more on growth & performance over design?
