Third year associate at an AmLaw 100 firm (non Frag or BAL, but doesn’t pay market), and I feel that growth is severely limited in this field.

I am thinking of taking a break from work due to my depression. But really worried about the consequences on my immigration status. PhD in Chemistry w/ 8 YOE. Now pursuing a part-time MBA while working as an R&D manager is a chemical company. I don't enjoy chemistry research anymore and want to try something else. I'm interested in consulting and think it could open doors for me to do something different after a few years.
