I’m interviewing for an early career HRBP role and I’m looking to see if anyone has some insight on the potential salary range. I did some research and found that an HRBP is usually $100k+. The recruiter asked what my salary expectations are and considering the fact that it is a developmental role I said $80k - $90k, to which her response was “that’s a bit high”. Any thoughts to what would be considered a reasonable range for this role? I’m based in Houston, Tx , 4 YOE, and an HR certification.

Debating a new job and was told I could expect RSUs ranging from $40-60K on an annual basis. When I asked for this to be written in the offer letter, I was told that because it is a “discretionary grant that is not contractual” it would not be in there.
