Most of the big consulting firms do, that said they don’t typically have a larger local client base and you can end up working for companies that aren’t that much better then the fed (Freddie/Fannie for example)
I’m not sure what C1’s definition of “major consulting firm” is, but the vast majority of work sold from our DC office is not government related. We have a significant amount of that non federal work that is based in dc as well. That being said, most work does involve travel
GEICO headquarters are in Chevy Chase. Thousands of people.
All big 4 have commercial practices in DC just be ready to travel.

All major consulting firms cater primarily to federal clients in dc. That’s why they are here. There’s a few local clients in commercial that’s around a but those are hard to get as they already have teams in place. Also be ready to travel if you want to join commercial in dc
Slalom has a DC office, strictly commercial projects right now.
A1, we don’t disclose our clients publicly, but they are across industries in DC
The big non gov consulting buyers in the DC area are in hospitality and GSE related organizations.
Lots of telecommunications in the region as well.
Baltimore also has 2 big asset managers.
Any consultancy with a DC office and an aerospace, defense, and government services practice.
PwC does a fair amount of hospitality work, but other than that, it’s tough

@SC1 not much if any. We have some clients who allow remote, but all are in the DC region.
@SP1- are these commercial or federal clients? I’m trying to get to industry (commercial) but if you do commercial consulting here in the dc area, I’d love to learn more.
All of Slalom DC’s current work is outside of public sector.
