On a "strategy" project (first project, im new). Tasked with the financial model but not really playing a big part in our strategy talk. Is that normal or ok or should I speak up more in there?
Would you work local if given the chance? 15 minute commute, solid 9-5, chargeable for 8 straight months. Potential to be really boring, but great client and experience in the end.
Been doing the M-Th grind for a few months now. No sleep, I’m getting depressed, and miss my SO terribly. SM and Manager don’t care since I’m pretty vital to the project. How to make it more bearable?
When you are presenting to a client and you keep referring to a "snapchat" instead of a screenshot. File under: How to Look Like an Idiot - Millennial Style 👌🏼

Going to tell Leadership this week that I want to be rolled off. Another project has requested me and that project is better aligned to my career. Any advice to have a smooth conversation?
Need counsel: Left advertising to go client side last year. Working at a huge company isn’t for me long-term but the money is great, I have more balance and actually raised my kids this year. I have the opportunity to be a c-suite leader at a very small agency on the rise. Super confused. Money will be less, long-term opportunity will be more. Also thinking about having another kid soonish.
Pro se plaintiff, an attorney, filed a complaint alleging mold defects after closing on a property. Client, layperson, may have agreed orally to a settlement amount without proof of damages prior to filing appearance and obtaining an attorney. Client filed appearance pro se, then plaintiff sent over a draft settlement agreement few weeks later which client didn’t sign. Client then got an attorney, filed answer, etc. Can this oral agreement be voided for coercion, indefinite mat’l term, etc?
Will start my first project in a few weeks. What would be best for my learning experience between the options below: 1) on site project 2) remote but more exciting project (industry I love)
I got rolled off my first project bc the client wanted someone with more experience. Now I’m on a project backfilling someone who’s about to roll off his current project (he can’t start the project
Have you ever negotiated your travel schedule? N00b to being in the road and PPD wants me to do a 10hr west to east coast flight plus a few hours driving to get to client site.
How long would you give a consult to on board on a new project and then lead client discussions?
Has everyone ever done a sustainability consulting project? What are the key market leaders in this space? I’m super interested.
So a client manager and I used to flirt a lot, though I kept my distance because obviously dontwanttofuckshitup! Now that she is leaving the firm, is it okay to respond to her moves?
I don’t admire my project leadership and sometimes loose my motivation to work on the project. How do guys deal with this scenario? I don’t want to come across as I want to leave the project but at the same time, I am finding it difficult to hang on to it. Why I don’t admire project leadership? I am not learning anything new from them (I don’t know everything but I feel I am solving small problems and don’t really getting anything new from the project)
My intern was assigned the role of “strategist” on an intern-project and they asked me “Wait, so I just have think about stuff, I don’t actually have to DO anything??”
Well the good news is that my manager said it would be done by Monday morning to the client. The bad news is that he sent that email to the client at 7pm Friday and never texted me. Wait both are bad.
Is it normal for companies to schedule more rounds of interviews with you after the on-site?
Got a job offer client side. Would be making 30k+ more BUT it's a long term contract role (no benefits, Paid PTO etc.). I'm not unhappy or happy where I'm at currently. What to do what to do.
Anyone know if the new Amex Plat 5x MR points for air includes our corporate cards? I've found the benefits all don't always carry over. http://about.americanexpress.com/news/pr/2016/new-travel-benefits-for-amex-platinum.aspx
What’s the correlation between compensation & happiness? I have never been a very happy person (depressed from time to time) and my comp is only 150k. What compensation do I need to reach so that I can become immediately happy? 200k, 300k, 500k?

Can you expense if you forgot a charger at home and had to buy at client location? Over $80
Experiences on switching departments? I’m a mid level AD thinking that I would fit better a strategy team. But start over and be a junior again? Get a lower salary? 🙄 Would love to hear some stories 🙏🏻
At the risk of being ridiculed, need to ask this ... no MBA or MBB experience ... M&A experience in Big 4... is it possible to break into Corp strategy ?
I’ve never been unintelligent, but does anyone else feel manipulated to think so by leadership? It almost feels like a sick game how leadership talks down to AEs...
When you go to the wrong gate at EWR and have to exit security and go through again at another 😑
I’ve been off my last billable project for about a month, but my firm has had me putting in full days to work on important internal initiatives and business development that are being taken very seriously, and that include deadlines, etc. very similar to the work I’d do while on a project. Is it likely I’ll be laid off if this continues for another couple of months? How long do you think my firm might let me stay employed like this if they continue to have this much non-billable work for me?
Got very ill and missed 3 weeks of work (in the hospital) so I missed a lot of follow up calls, appointments, and had no prospecting. How should I explain to people why I missed their appointments?
Hi Fishes, I have got an offer from CTS, with the package of 10.2L. In that 9.5 is fixed and .5 is variable. How much will be the take home salary for me? Thanks in advance.
I’m a freelancer, never held a senior title before, have an offer for senior at $115k from matte projects. They have cool clients, and I’ve always wanted to work more on events, but they have a super low rating on glassdoor. Any tips on how to proceed? I have more interviews coming in and I’m aware it’s a employees market right now. The job sounded perfect until I read the reviews on glassdoor.
Sales Engineer to Client Partner , do you guys think it is a step up or down or about the same level ? Currently a SE and received an offer for Client Partner with a different company and thinking will my career progress with this move or is it just a parallel step ? Any inputs will be great.
What are the best consulting firms to work for in Chicago right out of undergrad based on salary and perks?
I told myself I was leaving the firm if I didn't hit a certain amount of salary after my raise this year. Deloitte hit the EXACT figure. What are the odds. Is my phone being tapped? 😂
Anyone wear allbirds with a suit for travel? Don’t want to pull off the airport bathroom change, but don’t want to wear my dress shoes either. I’d hate to end up in the people of the airport bowl lol
