BCG 10% PL and above (no contribution required). 5% for A/C. Vests immediately Kearney does 10% with no contribution required plus but to another 1.5% if you put in 6%, so up to 11.5% total but they have a fairly long vesting

like

The feds offer a 5% match and some of the financial regulatory agencies (FDIC, etc) off an additional 401k with an additional 5% match, too. Not gonna lie, combined with the pension, my years as a fed were the best I've had for retirement savings purposes.

My sector focused boutique. I put in 7%, they put in 14%. Given that they match/exceed mbb salaries, they basically allow me to max both my contribution and the company's contribution

like

We are less than 20 people and have very few people per level so it will basically be like posting my name. I'll just say we focus on a niche industrials sector and everyone at the firm has at least some experience in that sector

McKinsey doesn’t match - they just give you a percent of your salary regardless of whether you contribute. I forget what the number is (12?%) up to some maximum (which I also forget - its not much but I think its the max allowed (?)). I’m sure someone else here can correct me.

like

12% of your salary sounds like a lot lol what on earth do you mean “not much”?!

like

Oliver Wyman up to 7%. 4% fixed contribution and additional 3% as a 50% match (i.e. if you contribute 6%)

like

Zero as an independent but I get to employer match myself up to a yearly max total contribution of $56k/yr. It's glorious.

Not ZS. We have 3% but it doesn’t begin vesting until after 2 years. The median tenure is less than 2 years or something like that, so a sizable chunk of employees don’t get anything at all

like

Damn... I'm having a final round in a couple days with ZS.

McK - no match required; 7.5% of salary regardless of contribution

like

I think ours is 7.5%?

like

Huron is 6% match

like

Accenture is 6%

like

Doesn’t vest immediately. ~2 years. No difference for AFS or other practices

like

IBM does 1% automatic and 5% match for a total of 6% but you only get it once a year on 12/31.

like

So if one contributes 10%, Ibm will match up to 6%? When does the contribution start and when does IBM start matching? I’m guessing one can contribute as soon as one starts but IBM will match after one year of one’s service. Correct?

Definitely not PwC. I know most PE firms have great matches. I know a first year at the FDIC that gets a 9% match.

The match isn’t high, but when you add on wealth builder it’s 4-8% total contribution depending on level. That is very competitive in the market.

Not KPMG. They cut ours in half to 1.25%

It’s almost more insulting than if they just cut it completely for a cycle honestly. Ridiculous and felt petty.

like

6% here. Immediate vest, but match only happens once a year (have to be employed on 12/31 to get it)

Small govt contractor matches 4%, and also adds 4% at the end of the year regardless of your contribution. So total 8% as long as you contribute min 4% on your own.

Not Deloitte..

Coming from Accenture where they matched dollar for dollar up to 6%, Deloitte does $0.50 on the dollar up to 6%...so Accenture at least compared to Deloitte

So Deloitte basically does 3% if you do 6%?

They REALLY prioritize their employees, and the benefits are absolutely incredible. I hear a lot about toxic EA cultures at *certain* other companies and Snap just does not do that. For those at large tech companies with ESPP, do you sell immediately or hold? I've been holding but realize this is going to lopside my portfolio pretty quickly since I'm maxing my contributions. But also feel like it's a pretty safe investment, and worth holding for one year for better tax benefits. Thoughts?
