I’m in a bit of a dilemma. During covid I took a government role. WLB is amazing and I’m finally recovering from burnout. Job is easy. Team and management is quite good. Pay is fine (could be much better.) I’m still interested to challenge myself and build my career so I do want to move to something more fast-paced as things get back to normal. On the other hand I don’t know if I should keep this job and use the extra time to work on side-hustle and hobbies. Also may apply to MBA next year.

Does having it PE backed or owner held change anything ?

A have a former client (who filed a grievance that was dismissed by my state bar and sent me a demand letter that an attorney responded to on my behalf) has now filled a BBB complaint (my firm isn’t BBB accredited) against me. The complaint doesn’t properly name my firm, refers to an attachment that it failed to include, and gives virtually no detail about the complaint. I’ve searched and my firm doesn’t appear ANYWHERE on the site. My inclination is to ignore it. Any advice?

What is your firm’s work from home policy? I’m technically allowed to work from home but the partner prefers that I’m in the office, but he works from home or remotely while traveling somewhat often. Some days I just feel that I’ll be more productive from home. My office is a 30-40 minute drive and sometimes I just prefer to roll out of bed and start working. I always feel guilty when I work from home though. Another partner hasn’t set foot in the office since March 2020.

I am a business consultant in f500 company. I hv 8+ years of overall exp ( in firms like BCG, startup and Infosys) and 3 yrs of management consulting exp in my current company. My current base salary is less than 100K(toronto). Most likely I will be promoted to senior cons this year. What is a good range with my experience for consultant and senior consultant level. I feel I am working them for fresher salary.Thoughts?
