McKinsey: what is internal perception/reputation of your different practices? For instance, corporate finance practice is the most sought after but yields ~80 hour weeks, M&S practice is the most collegial, etc.

Case load= malpractice? Small plaintiff’s firm of 25 attorneys. I was a 2 year associate hired and given 50 active files in pre litigation status. 9 mos later a partner quit and I inherited 45 more. I got up to 105 files. Now I hover at 85 active files in varying stages of pre lit. I asked managing partner for help and was told to settle more claims to lessen my load. Is this what people consider negative work culture?

I get interrupted a lot at work now that we are virtual. I don't feel like this happens to everyone else in my team as much, meaning folks tend to let them talk longer. So I've reduced my contribution and talk less. But then others make the same point I'm thinking and would normally have said. So now I just look like a silent non-contributor or someone who gets interrupted a lot.

Office/team culture is generally good, respectful and peaceful.

How do I change this? What can I do differently?

Background - CFA, Indian CA
2.5 years in global MNC corporate finance and deloitte advisory in India
1 year internship in VC in usa currently.

Unable to make a move with VC, no luck at MM IB Analyst roles or Valuations.

Considering the changing job market, I'm looking at getting back at big4 asap that helps me get my career on track to get to IB, VC, PE.

Or other option is corporate FP&A.

Been in FDD for 2 years and spent 2 years in audit at a separate firm previously. What would be the pros and cons of leaving for F500 Corp Dev role at the Senior Analyst level?

I will be starting in Big 4 FDD as a campus hire. Is the promotional path similar to audit (A1 -> A2 -> S1…) after each year or so?

What kind of exit ops exist for CMAAS/FAAS senior associates (i.e., 2-3 years exp)? Guessing they’d be identical to those for audit seniors? I’d like to leave now, but I’ve heard you need to stay till at least manager to get the more niche technical accounting / accounting policy roles.
