There seems to be a lot of questions about choosing between a lower ranked school with scholarship and a higher ranked school (1-2 tiers up) with less or no scholarship. Is there a general rule of thumb of how much the higher ranked school is worth? I doubt people would choose the lower school if the money difference was $1k, but many people would if it was $200k, so the answer is somewhere in between for most.

I've been working full time for 13 years and need a break. Thinking of taking a sabbatical and would like to spend some time in Europe, thinking about doing some kind of studying/short course abroad. Have any of you heard or done something like this before? Any ideas? The course could be anything really, doesn't even have to be work/consulting related. Preferably something low stress that I'd still learn from.

Budget is limited but can extend it till 35L INR. Tam only considering courses with duration of atleast 16 months so that I get PGWP (Work Permit) of 3 years which would improve my chances of PR.

In process to file OINP received NOI on Oct 15, I’ve a question, I did ECA only for Masters, in OINP it asks for all post-secondary education. Anyone else that did this OINP with only Masters ECA? And whats the right way to do it?

Does it make sense to do a 2 year program, probably be $200k in debt and miss out on $400k earnings :(?

I’m a Medicaid Consultant for my state with 10 years of experience. My job entails policy and procedures, data analysis, training and working with local government entities and private providers. I want to break into the private sector (Consultation/Business) as the pay is much higher and I have a better chance getting promoted. I have a masters but it’s in psychology, I’m wondering if I should obtain an MBA or should I get certifications? Thoughts?

Any tips for building rapport with adcoms folks? Who are the ones I should be talking to and how far in advance?

Consultant at tier 2 firm (ATK/PWC/OW) with fast track promotion to associate . Looking to apply at Kellogg 1y with a 4 year old GRE score 325. Indian female with undergrad background in urban planning and masters in Data science. GPA 3.9+ masters and UG. What chance do I stand? Any advice? Also thinking of 2y programs in Booth, Wharton, etc, but less inclined due to duration of the program.

24 & working in middle office at a PE firm in NYC. I like and want to stay in my role, so looking at NYU’s part time program & Columbia’s EMBA program maybe in a year or two. Also considering programs like UChicago’s Scholars program (sub 3 years YOE) but worried about working 60 hours a week and commuting every weekend for school.

Preference is for in person classes but really looking to learn in a classroom setting (non-finance background).
