Path 1: stay in my current role and jump straight to a PMM ( I am trying but this is a tougher road. I’m not getting any calls back)

How is work / life balance in the UX/UI Design industry? Be honest. How many hours do you work per week? Thinking of transitioning from advertising because the work life balance at agencies is bad for my mental health.

I am 29F and earning 13LPA. I have been working for 4 years of which 3.5 years I had very low pay and close to 0 savings. I have been able to save 6L now.

* Elss funds - 2 (total 1.5L annually)
* Large cap mutual funds - 6 (total 40K sip per month) current portfolio of 4L
* FDs - 2 of 25K each
*Medical insurance - company provided

Seriously thinking about rejoining the B4 world... not for the money, the camaraderie, or the pleasure of the work... but for the healthcare benefits. It's much less expensive to be dead than to try to stay healthy.

I worked at a large insurance defense firm for 4 years out of law school. I really enjoyed the work itself, but the hour expectations kept increasing and I was getting burnt out. I decided to try a new type of law and have been at the new firm 3 months. I have way less responsibilities and none of my own cases. I’m worried this was a wrong move/too far of a step backwards. I know I don’t see myself here long term, but I’m not sure how long I need to stay to avoid looking like a job hopper—help!

I'm almost done with my master's and right now we are discussing the knowledge gap that happens in 4th grade with our lower-class students. They know or have the skills for how to read (for the most part) but seem not to be able to comprehend what they are reading due to the fact that they don't have background knowledge like their upper-class peers - which is due to life experiences. Have you noticed this in your classes? I have but didn't realize why it was so hard to catch them up.

Anyone experience exhaustion setting in at the end of second trimester? First trimester came with exhaustion like I have never experienced before and then most of second trimester has been more or less back to normal energy levels.
