@northwestern mutual 1, coming from another NM advisor, I don't think this app is designed to bash other firms' products. He/she was just offering a suggestion to the original poster. Grow up.

Quit name calling... We're ALL ugly.

Seems cliche but I’d look at AXA Equitable’s Legacy or Optimizer products. Very strong and have great riders if you need bells and whistles

like

Yeah but every NWM rep looks like an autistic bro who graduated from some ivy league college on daddy's money and all wear the same matching blue suit white shirt and yellow tie can spot you guys from a mile away

like

That’s quite a generalization. I suppose you wear a polo? 😳 There’s nothing wrong with dressing nice and looking professional. If you went to your doctor and he was wearing a sweatsuit, how would you feel about that?

Cheaper isn't always better, NM

NM 2, grow up? Ya know, not the best forum for this you’re right, that’s saved for the battle field. My over zealousness got the best of me. I’m proud of this company and it comes out.

like

@ NM... open your eyes dude. I started at NWM and since you are an obvious lifer/coolaid drinker, you wouldn’t understand anyone else’s opinion anyway. Please keep selling your WL product, it helps give the rest of us something to do.

funny

I’m going to send you a list of my clients and I want you to call them and explain why your “ranking” means they’re in better hands with you. Like I said, I paid my dues at NWM and compared to other firms, how you can honestly tell yourself or others that it’s not almost entirely insurance focused is beyond me. You only get your LA&H when you start and a year down the road you are ‘allowed’ to get your Series 6 so you can start to learn about annuities. So how can you tell people you’re anything other than an insurance broker? Our folks are all 7/66/Ins licensed so that we don’t need to steer every need a client has to end with “wow, let me show you how you can accomplish that with our “safe and tax efficient” WL product. I’m glad to see you are passionate - don’t get me wrong - but don’t be so naive

Minnesota life securian has a pretty competitive vul

like

And our office hires multiple people from NWM as they are running for the hills. Good work with the JPM guy though, if I were capped at 35% I’d even consider going to NWM 🤣

funny

Aaah yes, AXA, and expensive. My expense analyzer would destroy your product with all the bells and whistles. NM has the lowest cost VUL, but if you’re not contracted there you can’t sell it. I can sell your products tho, nice advantage.

Yes please!!! Keep slinging that whole life!!

WL only? Did you know AXA NMIS is in the top 10 independent broker dealers and we are ranked higher then you AXA. There we go, the “insurance only” bs others in the industry say about NM. I guess when you’re at the top..... WL makes perfect sense to build safe dollars that are tax efficient and a better interest rate than CDs, mm or savings. Astute investors get the difference and understand WL is not to be compared to their equities. I guess all of the banks and Corps who use WL just aren’t in the know like you are, obviously. Smh

AXA, I’m sorry but that is a mischaracterization of NM. You’re not talking with a new guy here. Just for everyone’s info, here are the true facts: sure you first get LA&H to get started, anyone here knows a solid financial plan always starts with risk management planning. Sure, the client can neglect that foundation and only focus on wealth accumulation only to liquidate the qualified account to serve the need of a disability or death. Also, the 6 or 7 can be done, that’s usually left to the advisor. And no, it’s not just for the annuities. I have quite a bit more AUM in our signature portfolio program then in the VA. The point of the rankings is NM is a serious contender in the wealth management world, more then you’d like them to be. We certainly don’t steer clients any particular way, but DATA shows the majority of the public is under insured from an income and life standard. That’s solid financial fact. So yes, please share with me your client list as I’d like to call on them to give them a full financial plan and manage their money in a way that’s more than based on returns. It’s been said, by Ed Slott, Nick Murray and others that NM Advisors and Wealth Management Advisors (yes we have many of those too!!) are the smartest on the Street. In fact, my office is courting a JP Morgan Advisor who sees more opportunities with NM, from a grid (he’s capped at 35%), planning, development, company culture, etc etc etc standpoint. So AXA, keep telling yourself that, but you’re not being completely honest about NMs culture or business practices. I do wish you many successes.
