Barracuda networks speaks the truth

If you can join a fast growing company (e.g pre-IPO) and have a great relationship with leadership your promos, comp, and responsibility will grow more quickly then jumping every two years. If in a mature/slow growth company it is normally better to job hop up to a certain level where relationships start to matter more (e.g director level).

You will almost always grow faster if you hop, but only if you seek out progression and don't accept lateral moves.

It depends. If you have a good sponsor network within your firm, you could get promoted 🚀 and reach VP in mid 30s. Contrarily, if you don’t feel like you’re getting progression at a reasonable pace, only accept external offers that are promotions and lead to better exit oops.

This depends on the objective. That is is title what u r after or compensation, or both?

Job hop every 2-3years

I'm new to the industry and this is my first corporate job. Been working as a BI analyst for about 2.5 years and I roughly make $80k. I'm having a hard time trying to gauge how much should I be making, or if I speak to my manager about increasing compensation how much to ask for so I won't sound absurd. Do you all have any tips on this or are there any tools that I can use to accurately gauge how on average much I should be earning?

I am having a lots of interviews for a first year association position, but unfortunately any concrete offers. I am thinking two are the reasons why: maybe they do not like my accent and how I speak ( English is my second language) or I am asking to much when they ask about the salary range. What are the other reasons that you may mention why a person is refused after the interview? Do you answer when they ask about the salary range? Do you find helpful any sources for I interview skills? Thanks

I have to say, R/GA is probably by far the worst “agency” to work at. Their culture and core values as a company are close to zero. This agency is heavily sugar coated. Welcome to R/GJail.
