Any opinions about Thesis as a creative?
I have HCL offer for Pune. I've to go to Magarpatta office on day 1. Should I consider Magarpatta office as my work location from where I have to work ? Or this is only for reporting purpose and later they will ask me to work from some other location in Pune? Little confused on this because there are many HCL offices in Pune and Magarpatta is near to my home. HCL Technologies

Lonely. I'm Mr Lonely. I've nobody....for my own...
I'll broadly compare PwC Acceleration Centers and PwC India on 4 parameters:
1) Compensation : The avg. compensation is higher at PwC Acceleration Centers when compared to PwC India. I recently joined PwC AC as an associate from a tier 1 MBA college in India. Both PwC India and PwC AC came for recruiting and the base (fixed component of salary) of PwC AC was 4 lakhs more than PwC India for the same role.
2) Culture: The culture at PwC ACs flows from PwC US as ACs are an extension of PwC US. People are more respectful, helpful, thankful and recognise even your little efforts. There is a significant investment in your learning opportunities and upskilling.
3) Work life balance: The work-life balance at PwC AC is amazing. You are encouraged to take week long leaves 2 times a year and you're also rewarded $150 each time you take a vacation. At an associate level, I manage to complete my work well within 10 hrs (max.) daily. All the client calls which we need to attend after your working time are optional as in no body forces you to attend them as they understand it's out of your work hours. You can also discuss with your manager and block some time daily, for eg: 2pm - 3pm when you may have to bring your kids from school or some other time slot where you decide to go to gym. This kind of flexibility is good. We also have no meeting Fridays to manage the fatigue due to long times spent before screens to attend meetings and work.
4) Work Profile - PwC India manages everything from sales to delivery and has more client facing work. PwC AC lags a bit compared to PwC India in this aspect. Things are changing with the New Equation where there has been an overhaul in the org. structure and ACs are being involved in the strategic work as well. From the last 6 months, I see AC people beginning to get involved in the sales, client facing work and other strategic aspects but I feel it will take some time for this to normalise.
You can decide which firm to work for based on which of the above factors is more important to you. At the end, whichever firm you choose, you'll be working for PwC :)
Are you from HR? Lol! This is hilarious. Some points in this is totally on paper! Also it depends on the department you are tagged to.
