imo M7 because with a high enough GPA and LSAT you can pretty much walk into a T7 law school and maybe even HLS, while M7s will reject you without batting an eye if you don’t have quality WE. I think workplace accomplishments are harder to obtain than high stats.
I think they play to different strengths. Verbal on gmat is much easier but the quant section on gmat tripped me up to the point that my scores on LSAT and GMAT were within one percentile of each other.lol
I imagine if there was a law school applicants bowl they would be talking about the quant like y’all are about logic games since a lot of them are from non quant backgrounds.
From someone who has gone through both, Business school admissions is harder. That’s because it’s a lot less straightforward. I got into a T3 law school right out of undergrad but did not get into M7s. Like the above have said, law schools are a numbers game so you if you can get above their medians you have a really great shot. The applications, essays, and recommendations were standardized so you could use the same for all. This was from 5 years ago so things could have changed.
Whereas I was above the medians for all M7s, but knew I didn’t have a good shot because of state school undergrad and less prestigious work experience.

Agree with this. I applied to b-school while my bestie applied to law school.
The formula for getting into law school is so much more straight forward - incredibly high bar, but at least you know where the bar is. There’s also less weird nonsense around yield protection and class construction with law school.
My friend was shocked when she saw how random and how political admissions were for b-school lol. She thought it was wild that I got into 3 M7s and got dinged at like Yale and Duke.

Wha? Law school is much harder. There are ways to sneak into an mba program because it’s almost impossible to fail and if you’re interesting enough they forgo some of the test / gpa rigor whereas you have to be very very smart to get into law school, which is also infinitely more rigorous. Also pretty sure m7 law school acceptance rates are lower which is saying something given that I assume a smaller pool of more qualified candidates applies due to the strict score / gpa cutoff
If you struggle with academics, law is harder. If you struggle with navigating the corporate world, business is harder.

Law school. Almost applied to law school back in the days. Studied logic games and the whole shebang.
Yale law is a blackbox like GSB, but outside of that M7 > T14.
