Providence Health & Services Anyone looking to exit to industry? I’m a former Big 4 revenue cycle consultant now leading the net revenue valuation and analytics at a large West health system with two current openings. One is in the data shop (SQL, cloud migration, Clarity) and the other is on the analyst side (budget/forecast, variance/trend analysis). KPMG is the weakest in both accounting and consulting. It doesn’t need a replacement because it’s really the big 3 and KPMG at a distant 4th.
Let me guess... Deloitte?
This thread shows how little some people know about the industry. Big 4 is an accounting term; if the B4 all split off their consulting lines into separate businesses a la Guidehouse, the accounting firms would still be the Big 4, and the divested consulting groups would just be label-less like Accenture.
Before I get a nuh-uh, it’s exactly what happened in the 2000s. BearingPoint, Capgemeni, and Monday (IBM) weren’t still called “Big 4”. Accenture isn’t still called a “Big 5” firm. Because we only derive this term from the accounting world because that’s the only way the term makes sense at all. Deloitte, PwC, EY, and KPMG are the biggest four accounting firms, the only way that would change is if Grant Thornton, Dixon Hughes, and BDO decided to merge and try to make the Big 5
I agree that Accenture should be in Big 4.
Big 4 you have to audit. Accenture doesn’t touch accounting, Arthur Anderson did but then...... Enron.
^Nice try Accenture. We tried having you in before. Then there was the affair with that small energy company...
^Agree to let you back in only if you change the name back to Andersen Consulting.
I think Accenture is in league with big 4
I think we should lump the Big 3, the Big 4, and Accenture together into the “Great Eight” or something like that

Hmm I think the next best accounting firm would be Grant Thornton? So I guess they would replace KPMG. Idk I work in consulting, not accounting so I’m not entirely sure.
I think that Deloitte is too strong and moving up. So there is the big 3 including KPMG 😀😀
Wonder if this is biased 😄
I think Accenture should be up there
Were we supposed to laugh?
