Which one is better?
First to learn new skills,prepare well and then after getting a job make a switch or else put up your papers,start preparing for interviews and then u might get call and grab the opportunity? I'm thinking of switching from last 6 months.Have medium level of knowledge in coding.Trying to switch but got just one call,and that too got rejection after a really nice interview.So when I start of thinking of switching (which I daily do) not able to understand from where should I start preparing? When I'd got a call for interview, I'd prepared a lot in those 2 days, which I've not even done in a month. So pressure is what which makes me going..so what should I do in this case? Please suggest.
I think you should keep preparing for interviews and also keep applying to job postings in parallel. Keep aside at-least 1 hour on a daily basis to brush up your knowledge and self learning. You might face rejections initially but as you keep going you through these interviews,you will come across the questions/topics being asked these days and u can keep working on the areas where u think u need to be better prepared.
Trust me if you think u will prepare first for 3-4 months and then start applying, you will be simply delaying everything all together and it wont be fruitful.
