C’mon m@te. Not even close, these unemployment numbers already match the Great Depression. If we get a second wave that’s your comparable. Not those paltry dips.

9/11 only lasted a few months, and the physical fallout was contained to NY. This is global and impacts every sector.

Need some encouragement: 1. my husband just resigned from his job as it was beginning to give him mental health challenges and even put him in counseling. I am now the only income producing person. 2.I haven’t been tithing in a couple years (mainly bc I moved to seattle and haven’t found a church home…Covid didn’t help). 2. Leaving amazon for a better paying job that God blessed me with, at a great time. I don’t have the margin to tithe but know I need to. If you’ve been in this sitch, advice?

TLDR: Getting over your ex of 2.5 years ghosting you after they said they wanted to reconnect.

I was dating someone for about 2.5 years and then we broke up because of COVID and the long distance was making it too difficult to continue. The break up must’ve been like a 4-5 minute FaceTime because I was very distraught. After we broke up, she started seeing someone else but I was heartbroken and it’s taken me over a year to really get over everything and process those feelings. (Cont.)

Hey all,

My baby is measuring very big but doesn't seem to be coming on her own, so doctor wants to induce around my due date (I'm 39 weeks pregnant now).

Any risk factors I should take into consideration? Things I should make sure to bring up with my doctor ahead of time? This is my first baby.

Thanks to all who offered advice on retirement and FMLA. I think I will just retire after my sick days are used up. I'm 58, over 28 years teaching. Pension is good. Hi fishes, I need advice. So I own a medium-sized business here in Ohio. The COVID-19 pandemic severely hit us and its economic impact shed light on just how financially fragile the company currently is. How did your company adjust to the economic disruptions? In what ways are you preparing your company to survive and thrive through the next economic downturn?

How do you keep all of your notes-to-self organized? Not actual work product or drafts, but the kinds of things you jot down in meetings or as you’re working (e.g., “client prefers DE choice of law over NY” or “x agreement is best example of negotiated MSA”). I’m using OneNote, but I’m curious how others do it.

Bonus points if you have ADHD and you use this type of thing as a lifeline 🙃

What is the partner compensation like at BDO? Base/equity as well as pension. I heard there is 5 years as fixed partner and then 10 as variable partner before you can earn pension. Say you make partner at 40, so can’t earn pension til 55. If you retire at 55 does that mean all you have is whatever you’ve contributed to 401k or otherwise saved? Or is there a lifetime salary if you’ve been partner a certain duration?
