None of this is remotely interesting. If you’re not front office in Financial Services, you’re a second class citizen.
Enjoy your $90K a year salary with 0-5% Bonus while your undergrad classmates who sit 2 floors above you in the Front Office pull in 2-3X your annual salary in the form of a December bonus check. Make sure you look them in the eyes when you see them in the elevator.

A lot of these have the potential to be interesting, but I would choose on team and role before content
Agreed, 10 is most interesting sounding.
Would give 9 and 11 Honarary mentions.
Maybe 3,4, 11 above the others?
Def not 2,5-7 at least according to me
But lifestyle!
10 - closest thing to true consulting is Reg BI where you will help firms strategize and implement
PS this sounds like something from Deloitte, DM me if you’re interested in learning more
these all sound terrible, but #10 sounds like the best of the worst
3 & 4! That’s what I do and I love it!
Yes ERM is relatively sexy and their remit is necessarily across front and back office functions. This wide scope makes the work much less tactical than testing and core compliance for example
Can someone please explain what exactly ERM is?
I worked at an insurance company and there it covered catastrophe modeling, investment portfolio modeling (how to handle 08 repeat), actuarial model risk, as well as some collaboration with internal audit for process/technology risk. Pretty much anything risk related across the business
