How senior is considered too senior to make the switch from agency to client side?

Moving on from news: after 12 years in the industry, I am exploring corporate comms positions in the financial, pharma, and retail industries. My skills range from content creation, emerging technology, streaming, social media, digital marketing, digital strategy, UX and public relations/crisis communications. But I’m having a hard time convincing hiring managers that my “non-traditional” background translates to marketing/comms roles. How do you break into corp world from journalism?

I may have an opportunity to move from D to a large e-commerce company. I do SC, I love SC, I dont want to stray too far from SC. However, this leadership role is focused more on setting comp strategy for its 10-15k employee SC workforce. Its not an HR position, at least organizationally (it sits under COO). Comp would be a nice bump.

Is doing comp strategy for the supply chain workforce going to pigeonhole me such that i wont be able to do "true" SC work in the future?

Finalised my car sale at Carvana. Had indicated that my car is in a good condition with minor cosmetic defects. Today someone has scratched the back of my car with what looks like a Key scratch.
