Walmart. It has more variety in IT tools and modeling. More fast changing business environments, which could give you a bridge to expand into other industries and area as well ( logistics, e-marketing, social media analysis, pricing efficiency, payment etc)

Last week I've completed a very long (7 round ) interview process. It's been 5 days since then, I am waiting for final decision

After a follow-up yesterday, I got the below message

"Apologies for the delay, due to some critical meetings, we couldn't re-group internally. I will setup a check in with you on Monday. Hope that's okay"

I'm still not clear if the decision is positive or not

Alright so I have been with my partner for several years and recently she said that she wants to get married. Im Happy with what we have now and don't feel the need to get married. Why do people get married? People all around us are getting married and engaged and I feel like that is weighing on her but when we drown all that out and it's just us we are happy!

Left KPMG last year to move to smaller consulting firm. I still have my 401k over there and haven’t rolled it over anywhere. What are my best options? Currently maxing out 401k

I’m currently a tax accountant with 5 YOE. I want to move into a business analyst role I’ve applied for entry level positions (competition is wild) and willing to get certs. I have great hard and soft skills that should transfer pretty well. Any advice on getting the ball rolling? Should I get a mentor? I’ve seen a lot of layoffs too which kind of makes me wonder if it’s worth it.

Hello! I’ve been working as a photographer for 15 years both as an employee and a freelancer. I started working full time with my current company a year ago. They’ve just offered me a new position: Creative Services Manager (in house for 4 related brands). I have no official experience in this field and had never heard of it before but feel like it will essentially be a creative director. I will also maintain the photography duties for the time being. Any idea what salary I should ask for?

Is it dumb to quit your not-so-great paying and toxic full-time job to work one maybe two part-time jobs just to get out of your current situation? I have a college degree and a lot of editing, writing, and customer service experience, so I want to get another full time soon, but I just really hate my current job and am thinking of doing something simple, like being a barista again. At least for the time-being. Is this smart/not smart?

I am interested in entering the consultant space. Does any one have any advice? what companies are great to work for? I am trying to pivot from an analyst role. I do not mind the long hours.

Hey fishies! 👋I have a BS in Art Education, 10y teaching experience and pivoting to instructional design/curriculum development. Had an awesome 2nd round interview with a hiring manager of Experian. I have an offer as an independent contractor with another (smaller) company. Any salary negotiation advice if I get to the next round with Experian? What’s baseline pay for experian ID’s?

👍Any information is helpful!

I interviewed for Data Analyst role at EY, it went well and the job sounds great, but I'm a bit hesitant to leave PwC because I really like the firm and I'm just 8 months in my job as an associate at a subgroup of ITS that has some focus on technology and analytics but it's mostly tax compliance.

I do want to transition to data analytics but I'm not sure if it's a good idea to go to another big 4, or maybe just look for a position in industry.

Any advice or similar experience?

So I had a first interview this past Friday at a company that I had previously interviewed with and made it to the final round last month. They decided to go with an internal candidate after it came down to me and him. The current role is more senior, and was one I was asked to apply for by the hiring manager, whom I also met with during the last set of interviews. I emailed the recruiter to f/u on Friday and still have not gotten a reply. Should I be concerned?

Any advice on how to start with data management/ training so that I can move into a more standard, better paid career eventually?
