I'd like to make more money (current 85k) by leaving to some of these industry jobs I'm being reached out to about, but wouldn't have a game plan for the period after because at some point I'd want even more money. Is it best to try: Current -> Industry -> boomerang OR Current -> Industry -> Industry OR Current -> Big 4 -> Big 4/Industry
In MC do I switch to big 4 strategy consulting or do internal strategy in industry? Lost on what to do

Do you or are you someone that went from PA (specifically Big 4) to Google? That’s the industry job I want to go to after about 5 years in PA. How did PA help you? (I want to stay in account./fin.)
Currently an A2. I’m on track for senior promotion 7/1. If you had the opportunity to switch big 4 firms and be a senior now, would you take it?
Anybody care to share the major differences going from B4 to MBB outside of just the type of work? Example, commitment levels, talent development, flexibility to select projects etc

Why stay at a big 4 when tech companies are paying way more, with great benefit, and stock options? Is there light at the end of this tunnel?
Thinking about making the jump to B4, but it seems like they aren't looking for senior right now...what gives? Thought everyone needed seniors
IB hours vs FDD in Big 4, which is worse?
I'm in B4 advisory but I like managerial accounting; was wondering if anyone had gotten the CMA certification and found it useful. This could be just in personal branding but also interested in if it resulted in additional work (and, if yes, always appreciative of study recs). Thank you!
ORM 730 GMAT T30 UG 3.4 GPA Finance/Marketing, 2 YOE B4 Consulting (Not tech), 2 YOE B4 Audit prior. Strong ECs working with our citizenship group and leading internal social impact/NPO engagement teams. Chances at M7?
EY fish- would anyone happen to know the salary band within the data and analytics practice (specific to financial services) for someone coming from industry with 8 yoe (5 years in consulting)
I’m currently 36 but looking to possibly start a MBA at NYU part time. I have a few questions. Does anyone have a few minutes to chat on the phone tonight for some advice? If someone was in my shoes before it would be great if you can walk me through 🙏
Thoughts on EMTM (Executive Masters of Science in Technology Management) degrees from top ivies or MIT and Stanford, are they worth it and valuable if not competitive against EMBA and MBA holders from these schools in consulting for moving up?
I have interviews lined up in the next few weeks for my first PM role & I’m struggling most with the case study questions (how would you improve x / design an x for y) - does anyone have any good resources with lots of example questions and answers? (I’ve read Cracking the PM interview & Decode but now need more worked examples to practice with) thanks!
On the bench. It's storming. It's...what day is it? And I'm drunk. I can't think of a better thing than this.
what schools do pre-mba LEK associates typically get into? targeting wharton, sloan, hbs
Interviewing for an ETL Data Engineer position at BCG Omnia . Anyone willing to chat? I'd love to hear thoughts about the role, what to expect in the interviews, salary expectations, etc. Thanks.
I have an interview tomorrow, and even if I’ve prepared for it, I feel very anxious and this triggers my depression and this has an impact on my presentation reducing the prob of success.
Any skip promotion from Senior 2 to Manager who can explain why our compensation will be lower than fellow managers (going from S3 to M1)?
Any one of you made a plan to save for your home’s down payment? My SO and I have to just start with this process and your experience and lessons learnt will help us plan and achieve our goal efficiently.
8 o'clock meeting in the client site, caught an early flight and planned to get some sleep on the flight. The fucking baby next to me started crying his lungs out. FML.
Hi Management Consulting/Advisory folks! Which is better out of the two: -EY India: Consultant role in Business Consulting (x Fixed , 1L joining bonus, variable as per performance) -PWC India: Associate role in Advisory/Management consulting- Operations ( x+50k fixed, 2L joining bonus, variable as per performance) Primary criterion for me is learning, growth prospects, culture and secondary monetary. Anyone from these companies if they can help, Thanks.
Has anyone interviewed with amazon for an L6 and negotiated / knocked up to an L7 for an offer? Just curious Heard the reverse happening but curious about bumps up
Damn y’all weren’t kidding. 50% bump from Big 4 to FAANG for Ops manager role, 6 YOE, 135k to 220k TC. Thank you all for the inspiration!

I feel stuck. I’m realizing I joined the right company but the wrong department and role. I thrive in a team and my role doesn’t have that nor is there any one on my “team” near my age. What to do?
Does anyone organise one-on-one virtual catch ups within your team? Would males to be weirded out if a female associate reached out just for a catch up...? 🥴 I started the job few weeks ago (WFH) so I never really had a chance to make friends within my team. Being extroverted, I feel odd not having coworkers just to comfortably chat to at work. My only work friend is the only other girl in the team.
