Every time I walk past Spirit gates, I get really good vibes. People waiting at those gates might not be frequent fliers, but they look so happy. Thats what vacation does to people i guess
How many people changed careers or wanted to change careers as soon as you returned from maternity leave? You or people you know? I couldn’t care less about advertising right now.
Fellow PwCers. Are you on a firm health care plan, vision, dental, or legal plan. If for so, has it been valuable?
Deloitte is giving mid-year hikes. Is this also happening at other consulting firms, big 4? EY PWC KPMG Accenture
Has anyone had success negotiating a large medical bill with a hospital. I had an emergency room visit, resulting in a bill of which I owe $2k (after payments by insurance). I’m capable of paying, so not expecting to qualify for any programs. Just think the amount owed is outrageous (I.e. $4k for a CT Scan!?) Any tips?
Hi fishes, Can anyone say how much will i get in hand salary as per below ctc of DXC Technology YOE - 3.4 ROLE - Business Analyst
Is it really that impossible to live in NYC, alone, on a salary in the 50-55k range?? I know COL and rent is pricey but I’m 100% remote and budgeting 1.6-1.9k apts in decent Manhattan neighborhoods I’ve found on StreetEasy. I’m currently in atl, so I know that (overall) living here is cheaper, but I’m faced with having to get a new car and I feel that having that added expense (down payment+car note+insurance+maintenance) essentially balances me out w/ ny expenses and I’d much rather be in ny.
Sometimes people don't really understand the interviewer expectation and fail at interviews not because of their subject knowledge but their lack of demonstration skills ☝ What 🐟 🐠 🎣 🐡 Fishes think on it🙂
Help! I’m keen to make the pivot to FAANG + Microsoft in a Product Manager capacity. Any key resources folks suggest? (Particularly as it relates to online courses and Discord’s/groups where folks practice mock interviews?)
Didn’t get the MBB offer, so going FAANG
Home owners & home improvement savvy folks - wwyd? I share townhome walls w my neighbor, & they had a burst pipe in their second story bathroom. The water leaked into my first floor garage. I will be calling insurance when they open - but what can I expect in terms of home repairs? Will the sheet rock need to be replaced and interior dried with heaters? Will my 2nd story floor have unseen water under the hardwood? Mold is a risk.
What kind of side gigs can you do to earn a little more money? I’m a career changer who started again at 28 from the bottom again/ didn’t negotiate my level or salary and have 50k loans
Hi everybody, need advice. I have too many rewards points and am also too successful and attractive. What should I do, do you think? Serious problems here.
How long does it take to get a green card from filing the I-140 and I-485 concurrently under EB-1 for an EU national? Do I have to wait for GC to move jobs? Or can I move with EAD?
I think I’ve reached the end of my consulting rope…I worked every night last week until 2am, every day there’s another ridiculous fire on this engagement, and my manager just called my client “fuck-tards”…I just want to move into tech to a pm or process oriented role, but I can’t get out of consulting fast enough
Looking to leave consulting after 3.5 years. I would like to find a remote opportunity. Anyone know of any great consulting exit opportunities?
Has anyone recently requested for any IT asset from office ? Like monitor or something ? After weeks of struggle with ITS they have finally arranged one monitor for me. However, ITS is telling they are not shipping any assets and are asking me to come to office and collect. I am not very sure why they won't ship assets when we are still WFH.
Deciding between $450k condo vs $750k house. Currently live in and will always live in San Diego. $260k TC. Have $100k available for down payment. Don’t want to pay rent anymore. Would you recommend house or condo? House is shabby in up and coming area 30min from beach but 1500sq ft 4 bedroom. Condo is close to beach and 2 bedroom at 800sq ft. HOA fee $200 per month. Travel a lot and ideally can rent place out but not pivotal. Condo and house appreciation are equal over past 10 years
HBS back to fully remote classes for a week 😬
