Which party is more fascist? If definition is strong central control of society, culture, and private enterprise? Know we typically define it as right leaning but sounds like today’s left, no?

Easy, Democratic Party

Easily the dems. America was founded on negative rights, which means I have the right to do stuff without the government interfering and preventing me from pursuing life liberty and happiness. The dems of today are all about positive rights, which are not self fulfilling rights. Positive rights require somebody to do something on your behalf at the point of a gun. The libs are the biggest fascists because they want to control and enslave people to force their vision of positive rights.

Definition of fascism 1 often capitalized : a political philosophy, movement, or regime (such as that of the Fascisti) that exalts nation and often race above the individual and that stands for a centralized autocratic government headed by a dictatorial leader, severe economic and social regimentation, and forcible suppression of opposition. Look, if Trump were a fascist then the news wouldn’t be rolling negative stories about him 24/7. Instead you would turn on your tv and it would be grinning faces saying “Our brave leader saved the country again today!” With no hint of dissent. All those talking heads you listen to every night wouldn’t be there. SNL wouldn’t make him their star moron to mock nightly. The police would be raiding the studios of anyone who published anything negative about him and political prisoners would be a thing. If Trump were fascist he would be piling on government control of industry not repealing it. If Trump were fascist he would be rolling back privatization and making health care, utilities, manufacturing, etc all government departments controlled by him and his party, not pushing to get all those things out of government hands and off the government dole. If Trump were Fascist he would be telling people to serve and suffer for the good of their country, not cutting their taxes and telling them to do whatever they want with their money and businesses. This is why Democrat’s have lost over 1,000 political seats in the last few years; they are the parable of the boy who cried wolf. You guys get the worst name you can think of (racist, fascist, Hitler, rapist, etc etc) and you apply it to every person deemed a political rival, and all their supporters too just for good measure. No one can take anything you say serious anymore, but somehow in your echo chamber of group think, you all are so convinced that the entire world is full of racist rapist fascist nazi Hitler clones that you are literally hyperventilating on national television. I’m not sure if I should be laughing at the show or concerned for your collective mental health.

Unfortunately, the leftists fall into 2 categories: stupid and evil. I will give the benefit of the doubt to the leftists here and assume they are just stupid. They think it will be utopia if we just sign into legislation free everything but in reality everything will go to shit. They don’t understand that to pay for all their free shit we either need to enslave doctors and educators and make them work for free or raise taxes to ridiculous levels. In either scenario the tax base would shrink and the name of the game would be to put in as little to the system as you can while taking out of the system as much as you can. Growth would halt, unemployment would skyrocket, new technological advances would slow down and people would feel less urge to produce.

I dont think we're near true fascism and should stop acting like we are🙄

It can be either. What people often don’t understand is that left and right both cover a spectrum from authoritarian to libertarian. Today’s conservatives are mostly on the libertarian side wanting small government, and most of today’s liberals are proponents of the government taking on a bigger role. In that sense the left is much closer to facist than the right. BUT there are also authoritarian leaning republicans that want to ban things they don’t agree with, and there are libertarian lefties who aren’t in the bandwagon to turn every part of human life into a regulated government program. It isn’t a cut and dry, black and white picture. Often people fall on the spectrum in different places depending on the issue. For instance, most conservatives I know are very libertarian economic conservatives who want to shrink government, BUT they want to make abortion illegal because they consider it murder. And murder is one of those things that is pretty damn black and white. Most of the liberals I know want the government to take over health care and regulate much more aggressively in all industries in the name of climate control, but they think abortion should be free of any legal censorship, since they don’t see babies as human until after they’re born so it can’t be murder to kill them. On a while, I’d say liberals are much further into the authoritarian spectrum but they tend to dislike America so they don’t check the nationalist box necessary to be fascist. Are there global fascists? Maybe they could be considered that.

Actual definition of Fascism: Fascism is a form of radical authoritarian ultranationalism, characterized by dictatorial power, forcible suppression of opposition and strong regimentation of society and of the economy. Opposed to liberalism, Marxism and anarchism, fascism is placed on the far-right within the traditional left–right spectrum. Fascists believe that liberal democracy is obsolete and they regard the complete mobilization of society under a totalitarian one-party state as necessary to prepare a nation for armed conflict and to respond effectively to economic difficulties. Such a state is led by a strong leader—such as a dictator and a martial government composed of the members of the governing fascist party—to forge national unity and maintain a stable and orderly society. Fascism rejects assertions that violence is automatically negative in nature and views political violence, war and imperialism as means that can achieve national rejuvenation. Fascists advocate a mixed economy, with the principal goal of achieving autarky (national economic self-sufficiency) through protectionist and interventionist economic policies. The descriptions neo-fascist or post-fascist are sometimes applied more formally to describe parties of the far-right with ideologies similar to, or rooted in, 20th century fascist movements Roger Griffin describes fascism as "a genus of political ideology whose mythic core in its various permutations is a palingenetic form of populist ultranationalism" Griffin describes the ideology as having three core components: " (i) the rebirth myth, (ii) populist ultra-nationalism (iii) the myth of decadence Umberto Eco, Kevin Passmore, John Weiss, Ian Adams and Moyra Grant mention racism as a characteristic component of fascism Fascist philosophies vary by application, but remain distinct by one theoretic commonality. All traditionally fall into the far-right sector of any political spectrum, catalyzed by afflicted class identities over conventional social inequities. Most scholars place fascism on the far right of the political spectrum. Such scholarship focuses on its social conservatism and its authoritarian means of opposing egalitarianism Fascism's origins, however, are complex and include many seemingly contradictory viewpoints, ultimately centered around a myth of national rebirth from decadence.

Or is it one of those things that’s on a circular spectrum? Fascism bleeds into communism etc?

OP there is a key word in your question; IF. I am curious as to where you got that exact definition. The left does want a bigger government typically which is closer to Socialist but it is a large jump from the bigger government the left wants to Fascism. IF I take your definition as true, here is my view. The left wants to control private enterprise more than the left due to regulation but the right tends to control society and culture more due to trying to prevent America farther towards a multicultural society

P1: Philosophically speaking, it’s a societal choice. I personally don’t mind if government provides essential services or a private company does, but the latter requires appropriate levels of government regulation and oversight, or you end up with our current shit-show around healthcare, education, etc.
